Fantastic break away

Lodge & location is perfect, whether you want to relax or go sightseeing. The lodge was perfect & had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Even though the weather wasn't brilliant, we didn't let that spoil our holiday! The scenery is absolutely stunning!We had a boat trip on lake windermere & enjoyed the Beatrix Potter Attraction.Would highly recommend a visit here!

Cozy Cabin

Comfortable cabin, tastefully decorated. It's in a great location, close to all the good things that Windereer has to offer. The only problem we had was finding the cabin. Directions were not precise. It would have been helpful if we had the name of the resort in our directions. "General directions: White Cross Bay Park and Marina" got us to the entrance to a large complex of cabins. The name "Parkdean Resorts" was not mentioned. We asked for help finding Lodge 9 Troutbeck at the entrance lodge. The impatient man there was not helpful, gave us a map but didn't give us directions- and he didn't tell us that there were two "Troutbeck"areas in the complex! We drove in circles, and finally found it. Very stressful. But the cabin is lovely, settling into it calmed us down. Including a map of the resort with the cabin location circled would prevent the confusion that we dealt with.

Our stay in the lakes

The property was excellent, everything you need for a comfortable stay, the double bed was very comfortable and warm. The only thing we found it was a bit far away to walk to the bar/restaurant, for our age group we are late 70 and early 80s.

Great lodge, great location

We really enjoyed our stay. The lodge was perfect and the location was great. We were able to get the bus into Windermere and Bowness in the evenings (the bus stop is on the top road very near to the holiday park). We would definitely recommend this lodge.

Great stay would recommend to others

Very nice property. The unit appeared to be brand new. Unit was fully equipped with everything needed for our stay. The development has other amenities but we did not use them like a pool and rec building. Great location in the Lakes District for jumping off to see other locations in the area. The host was very responsive to requests via the VRBO app. My only negative would be the poor internet quality. It frequently kicked us off or was unusable for periods of time.

Fantastic weekend stay

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Paul’s cabin, will definitely be back! The cabin is really well equipped and spacious and ideally located between Windermere and Ambleside. The site is well maintained and we enjoyed the on-site facilities, especially the pool, hot tub and sauna. Communication with Paul was excellent and the check in / out process seamless. All in all a great trip?

Great place to stay at White Cross Bay is a lovely place next to lake. Log cabin we had was very quiet area to stay. Great bike rides we would go back.

Bloomin’ loved it!!!!!!

Walking into the property we were met with a beautiful living/dining area; clean and well presented. Kitchen was lovely; beautiful cream glossy cupboards, new cooker, clean as a whistle with all crockery and cutlery gleaming. Bedrooms were well done out; very comfortable beds and a lovely en suite. Outside the decking at the front is just big enough to sit comfortably but at the side, there’s a great big space with picnic bench and bbq. The resort itself is great. Things to do with the children and only 5mins drive to Brockhole adventure park and a little further to Ambleside town. I would highly recommend staying at Peter’s cabin; we will definitely be back. Great Lodge

The site is in a great spot right on the lake with short drives to Bowness, Windermere and Ambleside. The lodge is situated in a lovely quiet location on the site. Outside the lodge there is very tidy and smart decking with multiple seating options. Shane we didn’t get to use it due to bad weather but next time for sure. On entering g the lodge both my wife and I were surprised on how it sturdy and un-caravan like it felt. Stayed in many “lodges” before but this felt the most comfortable. Really well equipped throughout the kitchen and bedrooms and nice to have a full bath and proper shower. All around a great property and great host! In regards to the site facilities the pool was not as good as similar places we have stayed and the changing rooms need upgrading and a better cleaning regime. Hope to return soon.

Bijzonder net en compleet verblijf, inclusief 2 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers. Comfortabele verwarming en alles superschoon. Het staat op een vakantiepark met een wat eenvoudig zwembad, ook een beetje viezig. Verder een pub met Engels vermaak.

Excellent stay

Managed to get a last minute booking at this lovely lodge having been badly let down by another company who cancelled our accommodation just 4 days before we were due to arrive. As it turns out, we were glad this happened as this White Cross Bay lodge was absolutely perfect for 4 people. Thank you.

lovely lodge

Very clean lodge. Excellent communication from host Paul. Everything you will need from home to home supplied. The Lodge is situated less than 5 minutes from Brockhole Activities by car. A bus ride either side of Windermere- On- Bowness and Ambleside. Bus stop located just outside of White Cross Bay. Restaurant on site was fine and we didnt use facilities as the gym is now unavailable. Pool small but ideal for little ones. We were mostly off site for activities but always a cosy welcome back to 9 Troutbeck !
