Lovely little character cottage with a pleasant courtyard. Beautiful bathroom. Beds for our adult children were a tad tight, but they coped. Fridge also a bit small to hold much food for 4 adults, but understand the limitations of the kitchen space.

Enjoyable stay

Beautiful period cottage in a quiet location that’s great for reaching any part of Torbay. Coves and beaches are nearby and shops as needed. Hope to return.

Lovely stay

Wonderful cosy cottage, great host, perfect for our stay, good walks to Brixham and Paignton. Locals are so friendly, highly recommend The New Quay Inn and The Manor pubs 😊 great restaurants, Simply fish and Rockfish. Delicious crab Benny in The curious kitchen.

Lovely cosy cottage

Really enjoyed staying in this lovely cosy cottage for a short break celebrating my birthday & early retirement with my husband & dog. Great location for walks & exploring this area of Devon. Would thoroughly recommend & hope to return.

The area for my dog was safe and secure. Autumn Rose cottage is absolutely beautiful, if you need to relax you really couldn't ask for more. There is a vast amount of books to suit all tastes, and many games to suit younger children. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The bathroom is stunning with a rolled top bath and rainfall shower, however, if you have hip or back problems the bath is extremely difficult to get in and out of due to its depth. Autumn Rose is clean and comfortable and warm as you are able to control the central heating with the thermostat. Wendy has put a lot of thought into making her guests feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you Autumn Rose for a lovely stay x

My name is Abigail Gibbs and I was fortunate to have grown up in the area along with my two brothers, and I was very excited to have acquired this lovely cottage in Churston Ferrers Brixham.
I am an author, proof reader and editor. I spend some of my spare time here writing, , its where I can enjoy the peace , quiet and solitude required to pen that next chapter.

The reason I fell in love with this cottage in particular, it felt authentic and maintained a traditional cottage feel . . My first viewing was in the winter and it was especially inviting and cosy and I knew immediately there was little point looking any further.. The location is convenient as I have yet to learn to drive, Brixham and the bus stop are so near to hand, for that much needed coffee, after a long night writing. (Yes that's when it all happens)
I also love walking and in no time at all you can be on the South West Coastal Path, a long trek and plenty of fresh air is perfect for plotting the next storyline.
