Hi Anja I'm glad you enjoyed the tranquility of our barn for your holiday. We have tried our best to equip it with everything that people might like to use on their break so deckchairs , bbq and ironing boards are kept neatly away in 1 large cupboard for use. I visit myself a couple of times a year to keep everything topped up and had checked the utensils. There were wooden spoons and plastic cooking spoons so apologies if they were amiss on your visit. Housekeeping should supply the kitchen towel with the washing liquid, sponge and bin liner, I will mention this to them. We find the chest of drawers and hanging space in both bedrooms adequate for holiday storage for 4 people and accommodate families of four people regularly and comfortably. It's lovely to host people from all over the world and we would be extremely happy for you to visit again in the future. KR Michelle

Hi Al, thanks for your review. I'm really pleased that you loved your recent trip to our barn. It's great that you found all of the local information I provided to be helpful. The twin room is small but we made the decision to keep single beds in there rather than bunks so adults as well as children can get a comfortable nights sleep. Hi Jennifer, I'm really pleased that you enjoyed your stay in 'The Piggery' and have taken the time to review your stay. We've spared no expense with the re-fit of our barn but agree there is an issue with damp in the back bedroom cupboard . Ventilation is a general problem in Cornwall, particularly in old granite buildings such as our barn. There is currently a small ventilation system in the barn. However, we're going to upgrade to a new whole house ventilation system in the very near future. I'm glad that you liked our new kitchen, it's better than my one at home! Hi Zoe, thanks so much for your review. It's so good to know that you enjoyed your time at the barn. We visited Kenegie when our children were small and loved it. The Piggeries has become a much loved part of our life and it's great to know our guests enjoy it also. The location works well for us, we love St.Ives and surf on Porthmeor Beach, but it's nice to be a few miles away to be a bit quieter. You would be welcome back in the future for another break.

We haven't let our granite barn for a few months.This is one of the first lettings of the season, I've discussed this with the management who will ensure it gets a good airing in the future at the start of the season. We apologize for any discomfort you may have felt, as we take enormous pride in what we've achieved with our little barn. I wouldn't expect our guests to stay in a less than perfect environment.
