We spent 10 days at St Elmo. Every day was perfect in every way. The house has everything that you could possibly want, including washing machine and dryer.When traveling overseas, that is a huge plus. It is a decent sized home with lovely linens and towels. (we were a party of 3). Everything was well placed and immaculate. We would certainly stay here again.

At Elmo

Lovely house with everything you need. Nice garden for the dog and very convenient for the shops and the beach .

We really enjoyed our stay at St Elmo, there was generous parking which was very useful as we needed to call out Autoglass! The house is positioned right in the center of Mersea and gives easy access to most places on foot. We always bring lots of towels and covers with us when travelling with dogs, but there was already some at the property and 'poo' bags a useful supplement to our stash. If you have decided not to cook (like me!) it is a quick walk though to the Indian t/a, the Chinese t/a or fish and chips. I can heartily recommend a short drive to The Fox PH for their Sunday Carvery or if you love seafood the seafood salad takes some beating anyday.There are little cut throughs and alleys all over the town making for a quick route; one wonders if this was originally to avoid the Excise man?If you do follow us to The Island, we hope you enjoy your time there, and St Elmo is sure to please.

sunny weather, friendly cottage

we enjoyed every moment in this holiday home. great kitchen, well equipped, well designed dining room and comfortable lounge. the bedrooms are big, the mattresses are good. the bathroom in the double room is very good. and the family bathroom is ok we will come back

Home from home

We had a great time the property was spotless and comfortable. We also enjoyed the garden. Local shops, and trips to local places of interest. We would not hesitate to book this property again. Margaret, patricia and party.

We had a wonderful stay here - a real home from home. Property immaculately clean and tidy and so much provided all we needed to take was ourselves and food!! A few minutes walk to shops and beach. Mersea Island is a relaxing place to visit and this property is perfect for us and our dogs

Fabulous place to stay!

We had a lovely break away. House is well placed on the island, has a great enclosed space for the dogs and us to enjoy the garden. House is well stocked for cooking such as saucepans, plates, glasses etc. House itself is clean, airy and well maintained. Will definitely book to stay again. Thank you.
