My husband and I with our greyhound Sophie stayed at Chorister's Cottage for 10 days and had a thoroughly enjoyable time! The weather was hot and gloriously sunny which meant regular walks to the harbour in Mevagissey were a treat! Jacqui could not organise the weather, but everything else to do with the cottage was fantastic too: clean, comfortable and airy with all the conveniences of home (washing machine and dishwasher greatly appreciated and used!) and a welcoming tea tray on arrival. It was just as described on the site, but also had such a nice feel to it, due to the care and attention the owner has invested in it. We felt like we were living as locals for the time! Recommend the fish stall on the harbour, museum, aquarium, various pubs (the Ship, the Fountain, the Kings Arms which had live music Sunday afternoon and the Sharksfin which were all dog friendly.
Also Lobbs farm shop at the Lost Garden of Heligan for farm produce and beautiful wood turning with items for sale. The Lost Gardens were spectacular too and plants for sale were purchased and brought back home for our own lost garden! A bootsale at Par market was also fun, if you like that sort of thing, and a visit to Charlestown kept us busy all day as the museum is dog friendly as well as the attached Bosun's restaurant.
We would definitely recommend a stay at Chorister's Cottage and would love to visit again in the future!
