The property was perfect for my visit, so light and airy. Sandra and Stewart couldn't have been more welcoming and responsive to enquiries, and their garden is a beautiful space to rest and enjoy the peace of the countryside.

The Annexe was spotless, really comfortable and very peaceful. Sandra was really helpful too. Just a ten minute walk into Hay across the fields or along the road. Perfect!

Wonderful location. We loved walking into Hay through the sheep pastures, and the town is a lovely destination for books, antiques, quaint shops, and a relaxing time.

The location was beautiful with a great view across the hillside. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a warm welcome and on entering property saw it as very clean and well appointed. The owners had clearly thought about what you would need to make your trip pleasurable and easy. We were able to relax without any struggles to prepare food as they had thought about what you need in a kitchen rather than the bare minimum that you find in many locations. The toilet and shower were spotless. The bedroom gave us an excellent sleep. We were comfortable in the lounge area and enjoyed a few films and books that they had thoughtfully provided. Most of all we appreciated the friendliness of Sandra and Stuart who were gracious hosts. We will love to visit again. Thank you!

A gem of a property, ideally placed for exploring Hay. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and with lovely views across the garden to sheep-filled fields beyond. Nice walks for dogs in the surrounding area. Highly recommended - thank you to our hosts for their hospitality.

Great place to stay. Everything was spot on, the annexe was very clean. Facilities were great, the peace and quiet was great. The 10 minute walk into Hay On Wye across the fields was very handy with lots to see there and plenty of places to eat. Communication with the hosts was great too. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely and thoughtfully appointed place close to Hay-on-Wye. This light filled unit looks over a peaceful garden. Sandra and Stuart are welcoming hosts and have created a such a nice place for a retreat to the countryside.

Gorgeous apartment and friendly hosts

Better photos are definitely needed as the aparment was just beautiful! Lovely garden as well. Everything was great for my solo stay, including impromptu drinks outside.

Everything you need

Very smart and clean, comfortable bed, easy access to Hay, parking, WiFi. Well equipped kitchen, great shower. Lovely garden and surroundings that guests can enjoy. Dogs welcome and there are bowls and mats for the furry friends.

Amazing 1 BDR 15min walk to Hay on Wye

We had the most amazing stay. Short walk down a street, over a bridge and through a grassy field to town. Quiet and relaxing. Could not have asked for a better place. It was just what we needed to recharge and see the town/ country.

Great location and property

Lovely self contained property with all necessary amenities. Stuart and Sandra very welcoming and friendly and the garden is beautiful. 10-15 min walk into Hay and we had fantastic weather which made it so nice. Hay was buzzing with the festival and we will plan to come again. Thanks for a lovely stay

We have lived at Lansdowne ever since moving to the area from Nottingham in 2001 and can't imagine living anywhere else. The scenery is amazing, the walks are incredible and the nearness of the lovely little town of Hay-on-Wye is an added bonus.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

After many years of visiting the area we decided to move here and fell in love with our house Lansdowne, which was being run as a bed and breakfast.The house is in a perfect position with stunning views and a beautiful garden. In 2008 we built the self-contained annexe with the purpose of using it for holiday lets as we were aware that more and more people preferred to have self-catering holidays.
