This is a lovely little cottage set in a superb location with an outlook down the leafy valley. The cottage is generally well appointed and comfortable, and has a big comfy bed.
The garden is private, sunny and secure, and being a dog friendly property, this makes it an ideal garden for dogs.
There is WiFi in the cottage and good phone signal in the area
We found the kitchen facilities rather lacking as the kitchen is dominated by a huge "range" cooker which was of limited use, being slow to heat up, (We couldn't get the hotplates to work). The cottage has two additional gas hobs which were useful, but it does not have any grilling facilities. We enjoy cooking when on holiday so found the cooking facilities limiting.
Kitchen storage comprises of open shelves only, meaning glassware and crockery remains out in the open. There is no covered cupboard storage to put things away, (so nowhere to store food away from doggy noses)
The cottage is advertised as having a freezer, but this is just an "ice box" inside the fridge.
Otherwise the cottage was well presented and very comfortable. It is set up the hill making it a quiet location, yet it is only a few minutes walk into the town centre.
The cottage is in a good location for touring the Cotswold's, and also fairly close to the Mendip's and the Welsh Borders, and also to Bristol and Bath for those wanting to travel a little further afield.
