Lovely Apartment in Vrboska

My sister and I stayed in Vrboska for a week and really enjoyed our stay. The small village really grows on you. The apartment was great, very cute, bright and clean. Not too far from town or the beach. Our host Jasminka was very helpful. Check in/out was easy. She helped with taxi information, which restaurant is best and any other questions we had. I would definitely visit again.

Wonderful apartment with gorgeous view!

My partner and I spend a week in this lovely apartment in Vrboska to celebrate my 60th birthday. It looks exactly like the photos. The view from the large balcony is just gorgeous, and makes it a great place to wake up in and come home to, or just hang out in. The apartment feels like a real home, not a sterile tourist rental. It's also nice and quiet. The kitchen has what you need if you want to cook. We didn't, because there is so much delicious food in easy walking distance! The town is super cute and not so overrun as Hvar town. We had a car so could explore other towns and other parts of the island. In town you can also rent bicycles, mopeds or a boat, or book a boat tour. There is a grocery store or two about a 5 to 10 minute walk away. Right from the apartment you can easily walk to several beautiful beaches through a pine tree "forest" (small) which have a wonderful smell. The water is crystal clear. I highly recommend this apartment and the location if you like nature, quiet and a lovely cute town with plenty of restaurants. We also liked the location in the middle of the island, easy to explore in both directions. Our host Jasminka and her husband were super welcoming. Jasminka was always quick and easy to communicate with. They recommended and made reservations for a great restaurant (Bonaca) for us. She even surprised me with a bowl of wonderful figs and a gift on my birthday! Jasminka your olive tree has made it safely to Denmark :)

Ferienwohnung in guter Lage

Komfortable Ferienwohnung auf einer Etage mit sehr netten Vermietern. Alle Zimmer sind zweckmäßig eingerichtet und sauber. Die Lage am Hafen in einer ruhigen Bucht ist ideal um Abends ins nächste Restaurant zu schlendern. Weitere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe.

Absolutely lovely place in a lovely town

We loved staying at this darling apartment. The pictures do not do justice to the very large terrace with a nice view of the harbor. It’s very well located, close to a couple of really nice swimming areas and the town center, with restaurants, a grocery, and the like. Jasminka was super nice and very helpful. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely week in Jaminska’s very comfortable apartment. She couldn’t have been more helpful, or quick to respond to any of our questions. We loved the area, and felt very welcomed by our hosts and fellow Croations.

A perfect holiday stay

We loved staying at the villa . The villa has lovely views and is very comfortable with every amenity . It is perfectly located between the village restaurants and the beautiful beaches . We will be back again ! Our host was very nice and helpful .

A Gem not to be missed

It was a delight to stay in Villa Madalena,The villa is in a quiet area was lovely,clean and well furnished, creating a very relaxed atmosphere.We especially loved the balcony, enjoying our meals and a glass of wine as we watched the yachts and little boats coming in and out of the town harbour. The beautiful town of Vrboska is a gem,away from the hustle and bustle of more touristy places.With its little stone bridges,a selection of small shops,friendly harbour side restaurants and cafes,historical fortress and the locals going about their every day lives, this small town has certainly kept it character. There is plenty to do here.lovely coastal walks to Jelsa. Bike and boat hire,boat taxis’s,the beach.and many scene to paint and photograph or just people watch from the harbour side cafe. Going the last week in September was a perfect temperature with the weather being nice and warm and sunny.Our plan was flawed by not planning a longer stay,we can’t wait to return.

An ample slice of Paradise!

Our stay at Villa Madelena was perfect in every way as my rating reflects, the village in which this apartment sits is both beautiful and very relaxing. The apartment is located perfectly for a 20 min stroll to a lovely beach with a restaurant serving up great food and a 5 min walk into the village for some delicious local food. The description is exactly correct, very clean and well maintained, with clear instructions on how to use the heating, air con etc.Our host Jasminka, it has to be said, made our visit exceptional as she prides herself on providing outstanding service without being intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble, she made contact with us before hand giving us reassurance and assistance with her knowledge of transfers etc. We would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Madalena to our friends and family and will definitely be going back for some rest and relaxation.

Paradise....

What a fabulous stay we have had at Villa Madalena... We knew we'd made a good choice from the early contact we had with Jasminka who went out of her way even before we booked to ensure all questions were promptly answered and then continued to look after us throughout our stay. The apartment was clean, spacious and so well equipped with stunning views from the balcony. This has to be one of the best holidays we've ever had. Hvar is a beautiful island, Vrboska the best location, Villa Madalena the perfect apartment and our hosts just wonderful. Hope we can keep in touch and visit again soon...

Lovely apartment, great location and wonderful hosts. Vrobska is a delight.

The apartment was beautifully furnished and very comfortable, with a wonderful view over the water and marina. Jasminka was a delightful host and very attentive. Vrboska is a charming town with a 13th C church,great restaurants and bars, but very quiet with a laid back feel. We swam off the rocks twice a day and visited the local beach, hired a boat to go to the island and visit nearby covers. We had the most restful holiday we'd had in years.

Wunderschöner Ort, hübsche Wohnung

Es hat uns rundherum sehr gut gefallen auf Hvar. Die Insel ist sehr ursprünglich und der Tourismus hält sich noch in Grenzen. Die Wohnung war sehr schön, man fühlte sich gleich zu Hause. Der Balkon war ein Traum, mit Blick auf den Hafen. Außerdem ist sie zentral gelegen und man kommt fußläufig überall hin. Der schönste Strand ist gleich um die Ecke. Der Ort ist sehr hübsch, alles da was man braucht. Abends im Restaurant am Hafen sitzen mit einem Glas Wein war herrlich. Vielen Dank für den schönen Urlaub!!

Amazing holiday at Villa Madalena

My newlywed husband and I stayed at Villa Madalena for 7 nights and this was the best holiday we have ever had! We travelled all over the Europe, but Villa Madalena was the most beautiful place we stayed by far. The apartment was perfectly clean, spacious and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, a beautiful living room, a great terrace where we enjoyed our breakfast and dinner with a gorgeous view and amazing surrounding. If you are looking for a perfect place away from the noise, but still with all you need for a perfect holiday, this is the ideal location. We just loved this place. Jasminka was a fantastic host, providing us with all information we needed from the booking to the day we left. She was available all the time to answer questions and to organise our days. Perfect host! She also booked a romantic dinner for us in one of the most amazing restaurants in the town of Hvar. I will never forget this dinner! The village of Vrboska itself is just a lovely walk away from the apartment. A real jewel with restaurants, bars, cafes as well as all the ammenities you need. Every morning we had a delight walk around the harbour to pick up our breakfast from the bakeries. We loved the beaches and the crystal clear blue sea in Vrboska and our coffee after the beach in the nearby cafe. Everything was just perfect, we highly recommend this place. And we have already booked our holiday at Villa Madalena for next year!

Excellent choice for stay in Vrboska

The apartment is very nice and very well kept, something you appreciate when on vacation. The owner is very nice and service minded and made our stay very pleasant. Wonderful cliffs for sunbathing and swimming a nice 20min walk away and the village is very pretty.

Vrboska ist eine Reise wert

Der Ort Vrboska liegt sozusagen an einem "kleinen Fjord". Das Apartment befindet sich auf der einen Seite des Hanges und man hat einen traumhaften Blick auf die Einfahrt zum Hafen und das Meer. Es ist wirklich schön, wenn man den Booten zusehen kann. Das Apartment ist sehr sauber, schön und geräumig. Es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Frau Vukovic ist eine sehr aufmerksame Gastgeberin, die sich immer bemüht und uns viele Tipps gegeben. Der Strand in Vrboska ist toll. Man kann sich gar nicht satt sehen an der schönen Landschaft und dem blauen Meer. Wir haben uns in den Ort Vrboska und die Insel Hvar verliebt und werden bestimmt wieder kommen. A beautiful apartment in a great location

The apartment is lovely and just as it looks in the photos on the website. It had everything we needed for the week we were there. The balcony is great and was a lovely spot for breakfast or to watch boats coming in and out of the Vrboska inlet. The kids were worried about not having a pool but you are only two minute walk from the sea and about 10 minutes from a beach, so they soon realised it wasn't a problem, especially with the crystal clear, warm sea. Jasminka was fantastic both before we arrived and during our stay, sending us ferry times and helping us arrange a kayak trip. She even brought us cake! Hvar is a beautiful island with some lovely little towns and gorgeous beaches (Dubrovica is well worth the walk down although does get busy). Vrboska has limited eating options but we hired bikes a couple of evenings and rode into Jelsa which had more choice. Definitely somewhere to revisit.

Nice host and great apartment

Really nice apartment, the pictures doesn't lie. The owner and here daughter was verry service minded, informed us about the area and everything else we needed to know, for a perfect stay in Vrboska. She arranged pick up taxi, laundry, were to buy fresh bread, beaches and they also speak perfect English. The apartment has everything a small family need for a holiday stay. All the consumables was new, for example soaps, toilet brushes, dishcloth, candles ++..... There is air condition in the living room, but we missed separate air conditioning in the bedrooms...Thank you for the lovely cake Jasminka.

A beautiful apartment in lovely Vrboska

The property looked fabulous in the photos and lives up to expectations. Jasminka, Mia and grandmother could not have been more welcoming and helpful- nothing was too much trouble. On arrival there was a generous welcome pack so that we didn't need to rush to the local shops and we were also given home made lemonade and local cheese and ham. Set in a quiet location with a beautiful view, this apartment is ideal for people who want to relax, read, walk or cycle and enjoy the local restaurants. We enjoyed the pizza restaurant just over the bridge but our favourites were Luka's and Boscano - both further on. We were impressed that there was both a large parasol and awning to provide shade. The only negative we can think of was the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms. However we found sleeping with the doors open worked well and we didn't have problems sleeping.

Wonderful apartment and location

We stayed for 5 days at Villa Madalena towards the end of September 2015. Jasminka was excellent at communicating with us promptly prior to arrival. She arranged a rental car for us at a slightly reduced rate. Vrboska was probably our favourite place on the island - few restaurants around a lovely harbour. All the restaurants were a 5-10 minute walk around to the other side of the harbour over a beautiful bridge. The apartment was clean and fresh and the balcony was spacious. It was perfect for two of us but it would be ideal for two couples or a family of 4 also.

Incredibly pleasant stay at Villa Madalena!

This apartment was exactly like the photos. It was meticulously clean and had all the amenities we needed for a week's stay in Vrboska. Vrboska to begin with is the most quaint, tucked away town along the Dalmation coast in our opinion. This upper apartment has a generous south facing veranda. Jasminka and her family went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

An excellent place to stay

This is an excellent apartment ideally situated in a quiet lane in the lovely harbour village of Vrboska. The apartment was like a home from home, well furnished, very clean and ideal for a small family. We enjoyed relaxing on the balcony taking in the great view. The host couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, on hand when needed with advice on the local area and places to visit. We loved the quiet village of Vrboska and the surrounding towns of Stari Grad and Jelsa. We definitely plan to go back.

A really lovely holiday apartment

A very clean, well equipped holiday apartment with a great balcony area & within walking distance of the beautiful village of Vrboska - with plenty of good quality restaurants. Apartment is very comfortably furnished & ideal for a small family like ours. The owners couldn't be more helpful with tips for the best restaurants & beaches around the area.
