Mellon Charles 2022

An ideal location for a relaxed holiday away from it all with the great advantage of a beach less than 5 minutes walk away.

Perfect getaway

This flat above the owners home had everything you could need apart from a washing machine for which Alexander offered the use of his. The views from every window were spectacular! We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area and retreating to this comfortable flat at the end of the day.

Lovely property. Because it is upstairs every window has a spectacular view. The apartment was clean, very well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Alexander is an excellent host. After a very long drive from central Scotland, it was lovely to see Alexander waiting to welcome us.I love that part of the country, I like the long hours of daylight in June. I chose this particular place because it is dog friendly. My little long haired chihuahua loved it, too. The surprise of the holiday was the Arctic Convoy museum at Aultbea. It has so much to see and read. The Trail round Loch Ewe was fantastic. Aultbea has a well stocked store. This is a wonderful place to relax and recharge. In retrospect, a week wasn’t long enough. Highly recommended.

Urlaub in persönlicher Atmosphäre

Very comfortable flat in a beautiful location.

The flat had everything we needed for two adults and a baby and was clean and well maintained. The owner is very friendly and on site if anything was needed. It's also a perfect location with a beach about 3 minutes walk away.

Warm, Spacious and very comfortable

This upstairs apartment was absolutely perfect for a week long stay, it was beautifully appointed with a excellent kitchen, great bathroom and large bedroom, as well as stunning views of the surrounding bay. There is a little beach that we walked down too and we had a great time exploring the area. The little village is about 3 miles away and there is a fantastic hotel/bar which serves great food, and there is a little supermarket with most of the things you might need. We visited the distillery for a tour and whiskey tasting which was informative and great fun. Alexander was there when we needed to know anything but other than that we had a great week, lovely and quiet and a perfect escape from the world for a little while.

Great single-bedroomed apartment

Beautifully clean and very spacious apartment with a well equipped kitchen. Great location, terrific views over Loch Ewe and considerate owner. Good location for exploring the area by bike and climbing An Teallach. The Bridge Cottage Cafe & Gallery in Poolewe is outstanding. We would highly recommend a stay in this apartment.
