The property is what it says on the tin.

The property was exactly as advertised. Only down side there was no air con in the smaller bedroom and needed a taxi to get to main areas. But the stunning views more than made up for this. There was everything you need for self catering. I would strongly recommend this apartment .

A perfect new year gate away in winter sun

We never came to Tunisia previously and because of Arab springs my wife was apprehensive visiting the country with two young children. I choose this holiday apartment after careful consideration & it was a wise decision. Francis is an excellent host & she was always prompt answering different queries. The apartment is very spacious which served us well for our family. The roof terrace is the best part of the property & make the property so special. We went to Hotel Nahwaress for the new year celebrations & enjoyed music from an Algerian music band named Oxygene. They played four nights and we went for two nights by simply buying drinks. There are lots of restaurants in the area & the price are very reasonable compare to many holiday destinations. We hired a car from the airport just to make sure we make the most of it. Although it was not necessary to hire a car because taxis are quite cheap. We went to Carthage, El Jem city, Nebul & drove around Hammamet area. We would strongly recommend to visit El Jem city to see the roman colosseum which is third largest in the world. You can book a taxi for the whole day to visit the old city which is worth every penny. The kids absolutely loved their stay in Hammamet along with us. After returning from Tunisia we felt we should visit the country again in the near future. Many thanks to Francis who made our stay comfortable & look forward to going back to stay her apartment in the future.

EXCELLENT SEJOUR

De bonnes vacances dans un bel appartement spacieux. Une résidence agréable et bien fleurie. L'appartement correspond aux photos. La terrasse est magnifique et aménagée . La vue est splendide et il est très agréable d'y prendre certains repas . Dans l'appartement , il y a tout ce dont on a besoin.(peut-être un four à rajouter) Le plus, c'est l'accés à la plage et la piscine de l'hotel NAHRAWESS. Dommage que les toboggans soient devenus payants. Je recommande cette location

Lovely apartment, wonderful Hammamet

What a great find this apartment was! We are a family with children age 11 & 8. The apartment was super & served us very well. It was very clean, a good size and well kept. We used the Wifi everyday which was great. We didn't use the TV. We used the roof terrace often as it provided sunshine, shade, privacy and a magnificent view to the sea. The area was quiet but it was easy to pick up taxis into town. A new Carrefour supermarket opened c15 mins walk away. We easily found all the provisions we needed there (note - in case interested - no alcohol). We used the pool pass at the Nahrawess Hotel everyday. The kids loved it there, but the pool with the slides wasn't open. It was extremely quiet in the hotel & we had the pool to ourselves most of the time! Fab - it was like having the biggest private pool attached to our apartment! The beach was popular & well kept. We visited Aqualand in the tourist area. Again, the kids loved it as there were water slides etc. Not too busy either. Hammamet was a good start for our first visit to Tunisia. It is not too big, but it is a bustling town. We ate out in the Medina area. We would especially recommend the Resto la Plage, which is, as you would imagine, right on the beach. It was popular with young Tunsians and the food there was very good. They have a small childrens menu too, but with large portions! We hired a driver for a day to visit El Jem & Monistir. We would recommend both, the children particulalry liked El Jem. It was spectacular. May must be pre-season as again, neither place was busy with tourists which was great for us! Nabeul market on Fridays is a must to experience Tunisian life. There is a tourist section and another with more household goods. All the Tunisian people we met were most welcoming & friendly. We felt extremely safe & sad to hear of others who never left their hotel! Communication with Francis was superb; he is very helpful. Magda & Yusef were also lovely people & good to know they were there if you needed them. Excellent customer service. All in all, we had a wonderful trip. We highly recommend the apartment & if we returned we would definitely book it again. If you want to holiday with other English people and effectively have England in the sun, this is not for you. If you want to experience a real piece of Hammamet, meet interesting local people and submerge yourslef a little bit in Tunisia, stay here! Thank you Francis

fabulous

The listing description was accurate. The apartment is a gem. We especially loved the sun roof terrace which is stunning. It was clean and newly decorated. It is a short taxi ride to Hammamet and if you dont have a car you only need to go out onto the pavement outside and it willl not be long before a taxi appears. We will definately come again this time with our family. Yusef the caretaker was a gem. Thank you Francis.

Lovely place...and the rooftop!

We had a fantastic week at the apartment. The kitchen living space was compact but had everything we needed. The place was immaculate and the owner was very helpful before and during out stay. The rooftop patio was our favourite part of the place. The views from up there were amazing and provided a relaxing alternative to the touristy beach in Hammamet. We would definitely recommend this apartment to any travelers as it is a great way to step outside the hotel atmosphere! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Un appart où l'on se sent bien!

Nous avons été très bien accueilli,tout est bien expliqué.Youssef est toujours prêt à nous renseigner. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce bel appartement très propre avec une vue magnifique depuis la terrasse.on ne s'en lassait pas! L'escalier pour y accéder en revanche est difficile pour les enfants en bas-âge. L'hôtel Nahrawess est juste à côté.Belles piscines.Les toboggans étaient en rénovation:dommage car cela avait l'air sympa! Pour manger,il y a des petits restos sympas et snacks à 5-10 minutes. Sinon on peut cuisiner dans l'appartement;les 2 plaques de cuisson mériteraient peut-être d'être bientôt changées. pour la médina,il faut prendre un taxi,entre 4 et 7 dinars la course (4 personnes par taxi-il faut donc en prendre obligatoirement 2 si supérieur à 4(bb inclus)). Une belle adresse et un propriétaire très aimable et sérieux. On a tous adoré et on espère pouvoir y retourner un jour... Famille Moiret.

Good apartment, helpful owner

Apartment is as described in advert. Clean, functional, booking process was very straightforward. Any problems at the property can be solved by Youssef - for example, we blew the electricity on the first morning and couldn't fix it, and he was there in five minutes to sort it when we called. Passes for the hotel were ideal - our three year old loved the toddler pool and the bigger swimming pool too. It is only a five minute walk away. Local restaurants are a bit further, and decent enough, but the menus aren't very varied. If you want a bit of variety go to Hammamet - it's only 5 dinars away in a taxi and we found a couple of excellent restaurants there. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the apartment and would recommend - everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Only problem was that we could not get the Internet dongle to work - the code was wrong - but we were quite pleased to be disconnected from the world for a few days!

fantastische week

Dit appartement is een echte aanrader. Alles is precies zoals beschreven op de site. Zowel het onthaal aan de luchthaven als aan de residentie was heel vriendelijk en je voelt je direct op je gemak. Je hebt alle comfort in het appartement en als je iets nodig had of een vraag had, kon je altijd bij Youssef terecht. Ook de mevrouw die voor de sleutel zorgt was heel lief en vriendelijk (ben haar naam vergeten). Ook heel mooie en rustige omgeving dichtbij de zee en je vindt in de buurt alles wat je nodig hebt. Goede restaurants, supermarkt, kapsalon enz... Zullen zeker nog eens teruggaan.

A fantastic family holiday!

We've just come back from a wonderful two weeks at this apartment. We'd never been to Tunisia before but found the people very friendly, the weather fantastic and our pound certainly went a lot further than in Europe! My son aged 5, and daughter aged 2, loved the swimming pool at the hotel where we had a pass. There was a choice of a children's pool, main swimming pool and indoor pool. Plenty of sun loungers. There was even a salt water swimming pool at the hotel's beach! The apartment is very clean and simply decorated. Although the kitchen is small and basic the fridge freezer is huge. Eating out is such good value in Tunisia we hardly catered at home (main courses around £3, beer £1.25 a bottle). The roof terrace is beautiful with amazing views. It's accessed via an external spiral staircase which with two small children was daunting and the apartment itself is up 3 flights of stairs but we managed. We spent a lot of time at the pool and the beach, we took the train to Tunis for the day and, as a previous holidaymaker recommended, hired a car and driver for the day to visit the ampitheatre at El Jem, Kairouan and then the animal park at Friguila. We ate out at the restaurants near the apartment and took taxis in to Nabeul or Hammamet (around £2.50 each way). The children had a lovely time and my son was fascinated by the different culture - camels, the clothes people wore, the call to prayer. Francis was very helpful, answering all our queries promptly and organising our traansfers to and from Tunis airport. Youssef who maintains the apaprtment block was a great help too - explaining how to use the washing machine, answering any questions we had. Thanks for a great holiday!

Great location for family holiday

Nice apartment with lovely private sun terrace overlooking the sea. Close to all amenities and very nice hotel where a pass is available in the apartment. All the family enjoyed the holiday and thanks to Francis and Youseff for making everything so easy.

Excellent Family Holiday

Like previous reviewers we knew nothing of Tunisia or it's people, However when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the warmest of welcomes and the friendliness of all the people we meet. Similarly the owners of the property gave us every assistance prior to our departure and responded very quickly to our enquiries. The aprtment is located in Hammamet Nord a small village which is ideal for families. There are 3 restaurants within a 5 minute walk all offering a similar range of foods, you will be sure to find something for even the pickiest of eaters. We would recommend the Panorama run by Adill and Okbar who spoke excellent English and accepted credit card payment. The use of the neighbouring Hotels facilities was a major benefit as we always had sun loungers and shade despite visiting during peak season. The local supermarkets are more like UK corner shops but they still stock the major items required for a self catering holiday. We took Taxi's to travel further afield as Tunisian drivers are manic, and I did't fancy taking to the roads myself. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Great appartment, great holiday

We couldn't believe our luck with this appartment. It was very roomy, clean, tastefully decorated - and the roof terrace was fantastic. We enjoyed lots of sunny lunches up there with a view of the ocean, even in early April. The appartment had good facilities (everything worked, and excellent shower!) and it was set in an extremely attractive block that was quiet and peaceful. We particularly enjoyed using the pools at Hotel Nahrawess - and found the staff there, plus Youseff at appartment, very friendly and helpful. In early April we found the resort quiet - which was perfect as we were travelling with small children, and had the various pools and beach virtually to ourselves. Hammemet was very nice - and easily accessable by taxi. There was a good atmosphere there, particularly around the old Medina. It is also worth hiring a car - or taxi - and getting further afield to see more of the country; we particularly enjoyed the Roman ampitheatre at El Jem. This was our first visit to Tunisia, but we all enjoyed it as a family very much.
