Excellent accommodation in a quiet area with access to nearby beach and lively town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool was a delight to come back to after the day’s activities including kayaking, a stunning coastal walk and a trip to the waterpark.

We enjoyed a fantastic week - a friends reunion - and the villa had everything we needed and was spacious enough that we went out far less than we expected. Providing towels, and cleaning services for the house and pool was a real bonus. We had a hire car and used it for shopping and to go into Carvoeiro - the villa is 35 mins walk each way; downhill there and uphill back. There's a lovely beach and restaurants 10 mins walk away and Ubers were cheap and readily available. Carvoeiro has retained a lot of charm and was perfect for us as we didn't want a very lively party town. Note the washing machine could only be operated by the cleaner.

Clare was easy to connect with. The Management company was great … and Paula who cleaned the house three times a week was amazing … when you opened the door upon returning home, it had a new home smell! Didn’t heat or use the pool as it was a bit too cold in March for swimming. We easily found everything we needed in the home to live comfortably for the month of March.

First trip to Portugal

Our stay was fabulous! We loved everything about our visit. Exploring the area and tours we took were very enjoyable. The people of Portugal are so friendly and warm. We will definitely be returning to Portugal! Our only complaint was the internet service which was unreliable.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry you experienced an issue with the internet during your stay. This outage was caused by an electrical fault which resulted in a malfunctioning transformer. This was resolved by the management company, replacing the unit as soon as they were aware of the issue. The villa has the fastest fibre optic broadband connection available to us and we’ve never experienced any issues with either speed or reliability.

Perfect accommodation

The property was perfect for our group! The fence off pool was excellent with our young grandchildren and the host heated it for us to a perfect temperature. The home is located in a quiet area away from downtown Carvoeiro, which is what we were looking for. The home was kept clean with regular cleaning days. We had a wonderful two weeks here!

We are a couple from Surrey and first came to Carvoeiro and stayed at this villa in 1993 with our two young children. Since then we have holidayed in many villas in Europe and often been disappointed with low levels of service. So when we eventually bought this villa in 2002 after much pestering from the children, we were determined to provide the best in terms of comfort and cleanliness for our guests. No more lumpy mattresses and dusty sofas and temperamental grimy showers! Over the years we have made a number of improvements, including replacing the sofas, curtains, décor, upgrading all the beds with the best mattresses we could find, a new kitchen and two brand new luxury bathrooms (and lots of other things such as drains and pumps which are not visible). It is a true home from home for us, and our favourite place to relax together or with friends no matter what time of year. We have done our best to make this a great place to stay and it really thrills us when we learn that our guests have really enjoyed it, just as we do, year after year. We hope you will enjoy your stay at Vivenda Centeanes and make it a regular place to visit.
