Situated on the West Coast of Lisbon in the Sintra-Cascais National Park, the Sintra Beach House views speak for themselves. Secluded and private villa, heated swimming pool, set on 4 acres. In a blink of an eye, find yourself on the famous beaches of Cascais, swimming in an ocean tidal pool, playing in the surf in Ericeira, Europe's only World Surfing Reserve or strolling through the cobbled streets of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

With the modern villa design, beautiful location and relaxing atmosphere,​ it's coastal living at its best. The perfect backdrop for family holidays. The villa is family owned and we know how important your time is, we work hard to think of everything that could be needed and more. The young adventurers will have plenty to occupy them. The high speed Wi-Fi connection can cope with all your business requirements. We will go out of our way to make your stay as relaxing as possible. From arranging a private chef using local & seasonal produce, organising a scenic drive in a beautiful classic car or booking activities. Combined with spacious accommodation, international and contemporary designed with a mix of modern and vintage, and only 30 minutes from the capital Lisbon, Sintra Beach House has all the ingredients for a perfect stay.

THE VILLA...

Wooden flooring throughout, four spacious en-suites with silky yet crisp cotton bed linen for a luxurious feel, 2 with sea view and 2 overlooking the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. The spacious master bedroom has a super-king bed and the bathroom includes a double shower for two. There are two further double en-suite bedrooms with king beds (one with a shower enclosure, the other with a bath and shower) and a further bedroom featuring three single beds stocked with games, toys and books for all ages.

This villa is cubist, modern, yet the geometric shapes of the villa do not disturb the surrounding nature to blend in with the countryside. Spacious with wide glass windows, natural light and stunning views seep into the villa creating a relaxed and natural feel inside of the villa. A fully equipped kitchen, with an island and breakfast bar and two outside eating areas; one covered with a Weber BBQ and Le Marquier Plancha and the other next to the 14m x 4m heated swimming pool. The dense walls around the villa and 1 meter overhang on all the windows help maintain a pleasant temperature inside. All the windows are fitted with electric metal variable blinds.

A long landscaped entrance to the property, lined with centuries old olive trees, tall grasses and flowers maintain the tranquility & privacy around the villa. The pool (14m x 4m) is heated, covered with an electric curtain, saltwater treated, and we provide guest towels and pool toys. Ample parking on the property for 6 cars.

Complimentary WIFI throughout the villa, satellite TV, PlayStation, iPhone docking stations, books, dvds and games. There are numerous games for indoor and outdoor use for guests to enjoy including Basketball, table tennis and a 14ft trampoline.

The Cascais & Sintra beaches are a beauty to behold, spectacular ocean vistas with golden sand and clear seas, and the coastline is hugged by small villages offering excellent seafood restaurants wherever you look.

In front of Sintra Beach House is Magoito beach, one of the more impressive and picturesque beaches on the Sintra coastline. Renowned for its healing properties being one of the beaches with the highest iodine content in Europe. If you catch it at low tide, it can be several kilometers long and unbroken white sand. No two beaches around the villa are the same. 10 minutes south along the coast, you can find fossilized dinosaur footprints dating back around 100 million years and one of the biggest salt water swimming pools in Europe at 100 meters in length. A 100 year old tram to Sintra town center and a daily fish market. Heading 15 minutes north is Ericeira, the world surfing reserve and home to famous surfing competitions and lively nightlife.

Suitable for the young and the old, the un-spolit landscape and the relaxed and friendly Portuguese people make this a perfect destination to come to relax and unwind. Between the summer festivities with street decorations, fireworks, live music, traditional markets and food and the Sintra-Cascais Protected Reserve for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists, there is something for everyone.

We had an amazing time enjoyed every moment the only thing I can say is you need more screens on the doors and windows as you need to keep them opened and there are quite a few mosquitos the house could also use some air conditioning as the first few days was very hot But didn’t dampen our time

Lovely property, great host

We had a lovely stay at this property, which was not only as gorgeous as in the photos, but was exceptionally well equipped and perfectly clean. Everything was in perfect working order. Excellent communication and welcome: The host was in touch well in advance to answer any questions and offer any assistance or advice we needed, and the on -the-ground property manager was highly responsive, helpful and pleasant. Perfect, really. We hope to return.

Fantastic stay with our family

We had a fantastic stay with our family. The house has a great location with a wonderful view. The rooms in the house are spacious and the house is tastefully furnished. The terrace with the pool is a dream. The proximity to Sintra and Lisbon gave us the opportunity to go on beautiful excursions and sightseeing. Because of the short distances, we were always able to decide at short notice whether we should go on excursions or stay at the house. Communication with the manager Antonio was always uncomplicated and he always had a quick solution to our questions. The offer to organize a chef for the house was great, who prepared Portuguese specialties for us on the day of our arrival. Many thanks, Antonio, for the excellent service!

Fabulous food filled holiday near Sintra

This is a beautiful property, stunning views off to the coast with evening sunsets. It was a little windy during our stay but there was always somewhere you could find to sit in a sheltered spot and enjoy the sun. The pool is fabulous being heated and we really enjoyed the layout and decor of the property. The house manager and owner were both incredibly helpful at check in and out and organising a local taxi for us one evening too. We had great trips out to Azenhos Do Mar, Ericeira, Sintra, Libon and Cascais and some of the most amazing seafood both in restaurants but also that we bought from markets and used we made good use of the gas and charcoal BBQ's and the outdoor plancher too. Victoria really went out of her way to give us advice on restaurants and fish markets too. She and Antonio couldn't have been more helpful.

Stunning and interesting area.

The property is absolutely stunning. Unpreposessing as you come down the long drive, set into the hill so appearing low in the plot. Pristine white and "cubist". The front of the villa looks over a small valley to a village on the right and single farmhouse placed on the opposite side and spectacular views and walks head off to the coast on the left. The interior is open plan living and dining. Well equipped for the screnaholic - wifi, sound, huge tv. Comfortably furnished and tasteful decorated in a way that I would always have dreamed of doing at home if I had needed everything all at once!! The kitchen is modern and well equipped - not that we ate in a lot as we mainly ate near the sea. When we did we ate outside and there were a number of places to either sit in or get out of the sun. I'm not a pool junkie and I think I went in it a couple of times - but it looked lovely and felt exhausted watching the others!! All the bedrooms were large, pristine and airy. The master bed was really comfortable and the electric blinds went up in the morning and you could read your book looking over the fabulous views. So that's the Villa - but like so many things, it comes down to the people! Victoria really looked after us. My husband had arrived in advance and left his luggage at the airport. - Victoria sorted this all out. He struggled with his laptop and this was no trouble for her to remedy. Our car broke down when she was at the Villa for something - and helped us get the car sorted out and ferried us to Sintra. Now that really is over and above and this made our holiday. If only our grown up children could sort out their holiday dates - we'd be going back time and time again!!

Sea views & stunning sunsets

We had a wonderful 2 weeks staying at this property, seas views and sunsets. This is a wonderful part of Portugal, especially if you love to surf. The villa is large and well equipped for families of all ages. I particularly loved the heated pool. The owners have thought of everything. There was nothing we didn’t have, we made use of the large firepit. There was a wonderful welcome gift basket of Portuguese food and wine and gifts for the boys too. Very thoughtful of the owner. Roberto who checked us in could not have been more helpful especially for finding where to get our Covid tests. The surrounding area and beaches are fantastic and there are many wonderful seafood restaurants to choose from. The only thing is you cannot walk to a village but the views, pool, peacefulness, space make up for this.

Beautiful peaceful well equipped villa

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful well equipped villa in which everything had been thought of. Fantastic views, lovely beaches, amazing local weekend market and close enough to Lisbon and Sintra for day trips. Plenty to do for children with table tennis, pool, trampoline at the house. Lovely welcome basket and toiletries in bathrooms all lead to a very relaxing break.

Absolutely amazing

We have spent our family holidays for 1 week in the beautiful villa. It is lovely designed, has enormous space and is fully equipped. It is a perfect place to relax and have great time with family or friends. The saltwater pool is well tempered and offers you an alltime option to refresh in the portuguese sun. You will find a lot of toys, games and sports like tabletennis. There is also an additional fridge to keep all your beverages cool. Expecially the view from the pool or terrasse to the deepblue sea is just a dream. The host Victoria is a very kind person and helps you quick in every situation. We can absolutely recommand the villa to all sunset lovers and anbody else. Cheers Rapha

The villa that has it all

Samudra Villa is located in a special microclimate in Sintra National Park. The weather is about 10-15 degrees cooler there than at the seashore or in Lisbon. It also tends to be overcast or misty during the earlier part of the day, but by afternoon the sun comes out. The day stays sunny until around 8pm. We very much liked the villa's location. It was a short drive to Sintra and Cascais and about 40 minutes from Lisbon. It was also convenient to various points north (e.g. Obidos, Batalha) and south (Evora). We had a wonderful time at the villa. Victoria, the owner, has thought of just about everything to make her guests feel welcome and at home, including terrycloth bathrobes in each bedroom, and high-end soaps in the bathroom. In the kitchen, she has every machine you might want to use, including 3 coffee makers. In the master bedroom there's a docking port for an iPhone. There are lots of toys and puzzles for children of all ages, DVDs for adults and kids, and a number of current magazines and books. The house is kept immaculate and was cleaned three times in the two weeks we were there. Our only complaint is that the pool wasn't warm enough for our grandchildren and we had to pay extra for an increase in temperature. From previous experience in other vacation homes in Europe, I know this charge is common but it's a hefty one, nonetheless. Roberto, the manager, couldn't have been nicer. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable: showing us how to use the various machines, coming by promptly when we had a problem (for example, the connection on a hairdryer was loose, a lightbulb went out, finding us rides to the airport). He even accompanied me to the supermarket the day we arrived. Victoria also went out of her way to help us by arranging a medical appointment when a family member became quite ill. This happened before we had even arrived at the villa. She was on top of the situation and we will always be grateful for her help. Francesca

Pure escapism

Modern large property that still manages to feel intimate and comfortable. We loved the privacy and our own private view to wake up to every morning. The weather was mixed during the week but as pool was heated it was great to keep the kids nicely entertained. The property management were excellent and should be called concierge, they helped arrange our week's activities. Kids still talk about their personal surf coach! Thanks again for going that extra mile.

Holiday home straight out of the movies

If you are considering this villa, just book it. That is really the only thing to say that hasn't been covered by other reviewers. Our stay at the Headland villa was an absolute delight. Beautifully furnished and carefully considered, everything was perfect for our family. We fell in love with the charm of Sintra, easy our favourite and a short drive from the villa. The children had no difficulty to keep themselves entertained. There was a big TV which we hardly used (apart from BBC news, old habits die hard!). We have found our haven to escape to time and time again.

Amazing villa in Portugal!!!

We just spent one fabulous week in this gorgeous house! The house is impeccably maintained and very comfortable. Prior to our arrival, Victoria, the owner was extremely responsive to our questions and provided with recommendations of where to go. Our welcome bucket was filled with local Portuguese goodies. Roberto, the Property Manager, was there to welcome us and was an overall pleasure. The kids spent countless hours in the pool and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinners with majestic sunsets over the Atlantic. The house is centrally located between Sintra, Cascais and Ericeira. These villages are great destinations for half-day excursions. Moreover, we found many great restaurants in the area. The house was perfect! Marc from NYC.

Really relaxing with fabulous setting and views.

The property was amazing with great views and facilities. It was perfectly situated for trips to Sintra, Cascais and many beaches and was a joy to return to for relaxation. Un séjour parfait !

Très agréable semaine de vacances au Portugal dans cette magnifique villa contemporaine ; l'environnement est idéal, très calme, sans aucun vis à vis, avec vue sur la mer au loin. La maison est très bien entretenue, tout y est en excellent état et impeccable de propreté. Les chambres sont spacieuses, chacun peut y avoir son intimité. Excellent accueil de la house-keeper, qui parle très bien anglais et français ; les contacts avec les propriétaires par email ou au téléphone ont été excellents. La région a également été une belle découverte, il y a de très jolies plages, des visites culturelles et de bons restaurants dans les environs ; le climat est très agréable, chaud dans la journée avec une petite brise, et assez frais le soir, ce qui permet de bien dormir, même sans climatisation. Seul (tout petit) bémol : la voiture est indispensable, car même si les plages ne sont pas très éloignées, il n'est pas vraiment possible d'y aller à pied (route sans espace pour les piétons). This is villa is stylish, beautiful and peaceful, more like a home than a holiday rental. The host Victoria left a wonderful welcome basket of local treats and provided perfect customer service before and during our stay. She thought of everything. Plenty to see round and about by car. Exceeded our expectations, what a lovely place!

This property exceeded our expectations. A wonderful space to enjoy, have fun and relax. The children loved the pool and the many games and books to keep them entertained too. For the adults, the villa was extremely spacious, really well equipped and well maintained. The owner was so welcoming and helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble. There was a well-compiled information folder which included great detail about the property and information on the surrounding area. We would definitely consider returning within the future without any hesitation.

Top Relaxing Villa

The villa is as described in the advert, new, clean, beautiful, vast estate, quiet and private. However, what we hadn’t expected for was that the experience staying there completely exceeded our expectations. As a frequent business traveller I am lucky enough to stay in the best hotels. The attention from the owner Victoria, during the booking and our stay, was on par with any hotel service. My wife was very impressed with the quality of the villa, we felt easily at home. Car hire is a must but this is true for anywhere outside of Lisbon. Come with an empty stomach, the choice of restaurants locally and the quality of food is endless, you will want to try them all!

Fabulous!

An amazing estate, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We loved the look and feel of the property, from listening to the birds in the morning to watching the sun down right in front of us. The children had a ball, with playing in the grounds (which was safe and secure) and the pool they had just enough energy to go exploring. We hadn't expected the town of Sintra to be so close, which in one word is magical. The host, Victoria, was super helpful before we arrived and during our stay. Thanks so much, we all felt like we had a really great holiday. We are recommending you to all our friends and family!

High quality & loved attention to detail

Stayed two weeks with my wife and kids and another family. Absolutely perfect for us. Not only was the villa well furnished and equipped (photos can sometimes not live up to reality!), we had asked for some essentials to be left for us on arrival and everything was there as promised. Took away the first day 'holiday stress' and we started to enjoy our holiday as soon as we arrived with a welcome aperitif! Top marks!

Oasis of tranquillity and luxury

We have had a perfect holiday with our children in this stunning villa. There is a magical quality to the place, with an incredible view of the countryside and sea. The pool is lovely and very secure. The villa itself is extremely comfortable. The location of the villa is ideal, quiet and picturesque, but also close to the beaches and all the action of Sintra, Cascais & Estoril. We couldn't have been happier about our stay. We didn't want to leave!

Part of the Cascais-Sintra Protected Reserve Park with a stunning view of the Atlantic. In the summer months the sun sets directly infront of the villa, inbetween the hills, an awe-inspiring sight to behold. The perfect balance, a modern villa in a rural setting, distance from the neighbours to enjoy privacy yet not so much to feel isolated. Nearest villages have all the local amenities needed and only 10 minutes from the shopping complex.
The areas around the villa have remained almost untouched for centuries. Picturesque villages, iconic windmills, fresh air and clean uncrowded beaches.

Luxurious villa with all the comforts that blends in with the stunning surrounding countryside. Momements from the ocean. A paradise for bird watchers. The unique postion of the villa, we have no houses between the villa to the sea and you can often catch sight of local birds such as Sparrow Hawk, Black Swift and Bonelli’s Eagle. Binoculars are available at the villa for your use.
The location of the villa is also much loved by cyclists, surfers and golfers.
