Secluded, perfectly integrated in the stunning landscape, Villa Calypso became our private paradise for a week this year. We only regret we didn't book one more week, but otherwise, we loved every single moment.
The villa has kept all its promises:,it was, indeed, a home away from home, perfectly furnished and fully equipped to meet our needs. I really appreciated the space and the arrangements (each of the three bedrooms had their own baths, which turned out to be an excellent idea since we travelled this year with friends).
Most of the days, we (unwillingly) left the villa early in the morning to explore the island's magnificent beaches and taste the local cuisine in some picturesque eaterie. However, our last day on the island we chose to stay in. We ordered food from a nearby tavern that would deliver its delicious local specialties at our door, and we enjoyed the comfort, the view and the jacuzzi trying to overcome the melancoly of the thought that our vacation was almost over.
Overall, the tranquility of the landscape, the serenity of the view, the comfort of a posh daybed facing the sea and the little joys that Villa Calypso offered us has been a journey itself.
My advice? Go with people you love, take a good book with you, rent a car, keep it simple and give yourself some time to relax in this unique realm of nature. It will be a memorable experience. I often dream of the day I will be back. Someday. Soon I hope.
