Attention to detail

The cabin is great, especially for dogs! I will continue to book for future visits. Plenty of towels, decent water pressure, quiet. My favorite is the attention to detail! Needed R & R

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The cabin was a perfect size and it was nice to have a fenced area for our dogs who came with us. The birds’ songs, sound of rain on the roof, and sleeping with the windows open made this the perfect trip. Many thanks to Tim who immediately responded to all communication.

Wonderful stay!

We had a great time staying at the Blackburn House. The cabin was perfect for 2 people. The loft bedroom was quaint!. Couldn't get enough of the porch swing! It was cozy and comfortable. It was also well equipped. We enjoyed using the gas grill as well. The shower was the only less-than-perfect part of the stay. The well placed hand rails helped a lot. We would definitely return here on our next trip to the area. We loved the beautiful setting and the gorgeous views.

Perfect Private Getaway!

Our stay was wonderful! Way up on the top of the Smokies! We brought our 2 dogs with us and they had a great time too, especially with the fenced in yard! Great place to stay overall if your looking to be way up in the mountains:)

Weekend Refresh

Our plan was to rest, refresh and enjoy and that is exactly what we did. Loved the cabin, and our dog Cooper loved the fenced in yard because normally he would have had to be on a leash.The cabin was very clean and well maintained. Absolutely loved the view of the mountains.

Christmas Stay

Thanksgiving Getaway

Getaway was very nice and relaxing. Location was very quiet. Loved the fenced in yard for our furbaby. Host was very responsive. Cabin was stocked and included everything we needed. We would definitely rent the cabin again.

Perfect spot

This was the perfect spot to get away and enjoy Pigeon Forge. The cabin was clean and cozy, and was only a few miles from the Parkway. It was a nice quiet place to sit and enjoy coffee on the porch before heading into town. Tim was a great host and left clear and simple instructions.

Great location at a great price!

Vrbo review: Havens on the Ridge Blackburn House provides an excellent value for any couple (and their dogs) who need a place to stay for a few days while exploring and enjoying the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area. We found the cozy cottage to be clean and very well provisioned. In addition to a microwave and coffee maker, we found all of the kitchenware, pots, pans, dish soap, etc. that makes it easy to make full use of the kitchen. The WiFi is adequate for casual browsing, and the satellite TV has enough variety to pass a rainy afternoon. Outside on the deck is a very nice Weber propane grill, which had a full tank attached to it, with a full spare on hand. The enclosed deck and chain link fence surrounding the small yard give dogs plenty of room to move around. The deck railing vertical slats are close enough together to keep all but the smallest of dogs from squirming through. A large picnic table offers plenty of room to sit and enjoy the view, and the provided umbrella keeps the late-afternoon sun from beating down. Otherwise, the many towering oaks and pines surrounding the house provide ample shade. As some other reviewers have noted, some of those same huge trees obstruct the view of the distant ridge. This is a tiny nit to pick, in my opinion. The view from the deck is still quite nice, and the privacy and quiet make it a nice place to spend evenings. Heading back down the ridge from the cabin requires a 10ish-minute drive along a twisting, one-track ro

Relaxing & Secluded

Roadways are tight but managed just fine with an Expedition, quiet mountain top cabin perfect for the two of us and our pups. Dollywood & Pigeon Forge about 15-20 minute drive only because of the back roads and having to drive slowly, would highly recommend and book again!

Wonderful weekend getaway

My husband and I booked this cabin for a long weekend. It was close enough to Pigeon Forge that we could drive and get dinner yet also far enough to be out in the mountains. This is also the first pet-friendly property we booked and we were immediately impressed with the bowls they left out and treats they provided. The property owner gave clear instructions on the check in and check out process which we always appreciate. Milo loved the outdoor area and would stay outside as long as he could

Wonderful Place! Perfect for us!

Our stay was great! It was the first time bringing our pet on vacation and this cabin was perfect for us. It was clean and just what we needed. Tranquility

Nestled at the top of a mountain with a picturesque view lies a quaint up to date modern cabin. With a home feel of comfort and warmth. My puppies and I enjoyed our stay with watching morning sunrises and beautiful sunsets. With a fenced yard and lovely patio equipped with a porch swing and rocking chairs. So perfect.

Quiet/Close proximity

We chose this cabin because of the fenced yard for our dog. The cabin was in a quiet location, yet it was less than 15min to Dollywood, and any other activity you could imagine (aquarium, miniature golf, etc). Views of the Smoky Mountains from the front covered porch.

As a native son of Chicago, IL, his education and career path eventually led him to opportunities in both Florida and North Carolina. In 2014, the majesty of the Great Smoky Mountains beckoned him to Tennessee where he now lives and works as Resident Manager of Havens on the Ridge in Pigeon Forge.
Tim has always founded his work ethic on a dedication to quality products and services, and fulfilling customer needs in an uplifting, positive way. With every undertaking and objective, he applies his belief that details are important.
Personally, Tim enjoys amateur photography….engages the great outdoors…..and embraces faith-based worship.

Eastern Tennessee's abundant beauty, tempo, and sense of community are enjoyable throughout four distinct seasons. Prompted by a lifelong affection for the Great Smoky Mountains, my search for solace led to a unique opportunity for developing an existing property into a mountain retreat for adults desiring tranquil and respite on a year-round basis. Havens on the Ridge offers both... while being ideally located a short distance from the majestic Smoky Mountains as well as the entertainment and adventures of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
The property was originally owned by the Blackburn family as their primary residence and boasts a "Gathering House" cabin for special occasions. Their family tree includes Michael Blackburn who achieved notoriety as the World's Greatest Sharpshooter. The property history sparked a special interest within me, and each day I'm thankful to now call Havens on the Ridge my home as caretaker.
