Comfortable, peaceful stay.

Clean, well equipped, easy check in with lock box, parking on site, quiet neighborhood with lovely views out the windows and off balcony, large master bedroom, cozy and comfy second bedroom, large comfortable living room, good location. Upstairs level, owners live on bottom floor. very nice stay.

Sweet English Cottage

Lovely little cottage located in a quiet & quaint little village off the beaten path. Woke up to birds chirping and even seeing someone ride a horse down the lane ! The roads are flanked by beautiful meadows and ivy lined walls - definitely feels like a movie!! As lovely as it was it was a bit too far for us on this trip as it was our first to London, everything was as advertised . You will need a car to access it easily - but the owners gave us the train line that would be needed had we gone that route! Beautiful & Picturesque - be mindful the owners live downstairs and it being an older home you can hear every little movement both upstairs and down! 1 Car park is avail ! Thank you for sharing your home with us!!

Great place . .sat on the balcony watching the Red kites fly over

Had a lovely few days visiting local attractions. The apartment had all the home comforts, couldnt want for anyhting else. Very clean and comfortable. We sat on the balcony watching the Red kites fly over. Centrally located to main road links.

Very obliging hosts

Staying in Farmstead with Eve was a delight. We were awaiting a flight home to Australia but circumstances conspired against us and out flight was cancelled. We needed accommodation in the lock down as we had nowhere to stay while we awaited a rescheduled flight. Eve was particularly considerate of our situation and agreed to host us.

Perfect for our short stay

Great place for us to stay while visiting family. No frills, but everything we needed was there, and being handed fresh milk on arrival was a nice touch.

Perfekter Aufenthalt

Großzügiger Parkplatz direkt vor der Haustür. Zwei Badezimmer mit Dusche und eines zusätzlich mit Badewanne. Das war für uns zwei sehr zeitsparend.Ein großer Balkon nach Süden ausgerichtet und mit Blick ins Grüne ist sehr erholsam.Die Küche ist mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet.Besonders die Waschmaschine ist neu, leise und leicht zu bedienen.Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Lovely stay in Flamstead

We had a comfortable, pleasant week and the flat was a perfect base for visiting the area. It was very peaceful apart from some aircraft noise, which didn’t bother us unduly. We loved the views of surrounding countryside.

New to the south

We did not know this area of the country at all. The property was very good value for money. Eve, the owner, was very friendly and keen to know that everything was in order. The flat was clean and well-equipped and convenient for the NT properties in that area. Our only reservation was the proximity to the flight path to Luton airport but the noise of the aircraft was certainly tolerable.

Our Mini Moon Stay

We came to stay here straight after our wedding as a little home from home get away. We were not disappointed, so quiet and tranquil and we had breakfast on the balcony too with the beautiful view. The flat is located in a very quiet area with beautiful views and all home comforts

We had a great time at the property. It is only 20 min drive to Luton Airport and St Albans from where we caught the train to London for a day out and also only 25 min drive away from Harry Potter Studios. The property is very clean, with beautiful views and all comforts, including washing machine. The owners are very nice and helpful and immediately to hand should you require assistance. I think this is my favourite place now when I go to London area and will definitely book again. Bit of advice, shop on route as the supermarkets are quite a distance away but a local petrol station is only 5 min away for the necessary supplies

We stayed here as we were going to the Harry Potter studio tour. It was a in a great location for this as well as visiting Watford and St Albans. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed.

A very pleasant apartment

Eve was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is comfortable, clean and spacious. It's generally well equipped, with a good kitchen. Some more cutlery would probably be a good idea. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We live in the apartmnet downstairs and are very familiar with the area as we've been here for around 20 years. We can advise on things to do and see and make recommendations for local restaurants, shows, museums, village pubs and places of interest. There is a public golf club within easy reach as well as two shopping malls, a swimming pool, a Cathedral and the beautiful Chiltern Hills.
So, if you like the countryside, you're a Potter fan, you want a place with easy access to London, you're visiting the beautiful local area or need to catch an early flight, just let me know and I will do my best to be a great host! Thank you, Eve x

It’s lovely here - it's ‘5 minutes from the middle of nowhere and 10 minutes from the middle of everywhere' – that makes Ashleys a great base for most things. Horses ride past the front windows as there is a riding stables at the end of the lane. There are stunning, far reaching countryide views from the lovely balcony where you can sit and relax.

Although the apartment is on the outskirts of a village, it’s also close to all sorts of things, such as good restaurants and bars as well as theatres and live music venues and it’s easy to get to London or the airport via car or via public transport.Take a look at our web site for more information
There is parking space for one vehicle outside the apartment, buses run from the end of our lane and the train station with trains to London is within easy reach.
