Loved this place!

The house was really nice, just right for a short stay by 2 old friends. Everything worked great, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The surrounding area is beautiful, and being right be the river was a real plus.

The house is small and cozy, but we hardly spent any time inside - the waterfall swimming hole is amazing, and we would come back again just for that!! Sara was super responsive and helpful, and gave us lots of lovely recommendations for things in the area. My daughter has already asked to come back again next year.

Cozy House By The Water

The home is cozy on a quiet street perfect for a relaxing getaway. My family and I loved our time exploring the creek. Plus the house is just a short drive from hiking trails and other scenic spots. Sarah was a great host- very responsive and friendly! We loved our time here.

This is truly a cute and comfy country home - tucked way on a quiet street that promises your stress will melt away as soon as you get there! We stayed here as my daughter competed at HITS for the week and it was just what we needed after long, hot stressful days of competition. Bonus for the washer and dryer and all the lovely art work in the home. The family of deer and wild bunnies were so fun to see s well.

Just what we needed.....

My partner and I needed a quick quiet escape and this place was wonderful. We enjoyed eating a simple lunch on the deck and enjoying the sounds of the water. We even had a fun adventure exploring that part of the stream and swimming in the falls, While it was very warm that weekend, we were able to easily keep cool with fans provided. Overall a great stay.

Wonderful escape from NYC!

I and my husband spent amazing 10 days in Catskills, and staying in this house was everything we wanted and needed. Highlights for us were having our breakfasts on a porch, swimming in 2 waterfalls near the house, being close to great hikes and restaurants in Saugerties, Woodstock, Tannersville, Phoenicia! House had everything we needed!! We would definitely go back to this place!!

An amazing experience

We loved our stay! The house is clean and charming, and the location is unbeatable. We walked right out the front door onto incredible panoramic trails in Catskill state park! The waterfalls on the property are beautiful too. Watching the roaring waterfall with my morning coffee in my hand was an amazing experience. It was super easy to get to downtown Saugerties for dinner too. We will definitely be staying here again.

A week in Saugerties.

This house is lovely. I came here with a friend. The house is cozy, clean and private. The host has thought of everything. Anything that you might need is there. The deck overlooking the creek is a beautiful spot.

Nothing short of wonderful.

Had a wonderful time at the property. The house is well appointed and everything you could need is provided. The deck overlooking the water is a wonderful place for a morning coffee. The beds were comfy and the house was immaculate. The cottage oozes with vintage charm from the sink to the vintage oven (that heats like a dream). Will definitely be adding this spot to our annual rotation. Thanks for a great stay!

Charming

Charming place out in the woods. The deck down by the waterfall is delightful. There is a/c but it's just one window unit in the dining room, not enough to cool both bedrooms on a hot night.

Relaxing nature getaway in Saugerties

Our recent Saugerties trip surpassed all expectations. The property manager was great to work with, always available and responsive, ensuring a stress-free experience from booking to check-out. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed & to answer all our questions quickly. The house itself was the perfect weekend getaway, thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials and more. From a well-appointed kitchen to cozy bedrooms, every detail contributed to a relaxing retreat. Its prime location allowed us to seamlessly explore nearby hiking trails and enjoy the charm of downtown Saugerties, providing the perfect blend of natural beauty and local attractions. We loved exploring all the nature around us and retreating to this lovely home. Highly recommended for a memorable Saugerties experience!

Wonderful Weekend Outside!

I stayed here with 5 friends for an outdoor bachelorette weekend. We easily fit with extra beds. The land is absolutely stunning and the deck is perfect for drinks and breakfast. We also really enjoyed using the swimming hole! The owner was really responsive and helped us find the key when we didn't see it at 9PM. Another review noted a lack of kitchen equipment and I would second that the house could benefit from a few basic cooking tools - we had to go out and get sheet pans to cook in as well as tongs for the grill. The swimming area is definitely at your own risk as there's not a great path down there but if you bring Tevas or watershoes you're fine. We're already looking at dates to make this a friendly reunion each year!

Perfect retreat

Try this for an aesthetically pleasing place of serene beauty and comfort. Every detail is attended to and the space is even lovelier than the photos. Check out Vinny’s farm stand for farm fresh milk, eggs and other groceries. Opus 40 is close-by too. The owner is accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. We will be choosing this again in the future.

Fun and casual

We had a great time at this little place. The swimming hole across the street and down a hill was a hit! Great for our family. Would have liked a few more items in kitchen, but other than that, a great retreat!

A waterfall with a swimming hole is all a family needs.

This house is in a great location. Close to hikes, waterfalls, and towns. The house is nice. If you are looking for fancy schmancy, look elsewhere. You get everything you need here and your retreat includes the best waterfall and swimming hole in my opinion.

Waterfall hideaway!

We loved our short stay at this house! The house was just right for our family and the touches of history (rotary phone, 50's era electric stove, wood floors, dining room cabinetry) gave it a homey feel. The walk down to the creek was an adventure for a bit so site- footed 6yo but once there the scene couldn't have been more perfect. Rocks for stacking, gorgeous waterfall, cold and surprisingly deep pool. And all that not far from town and great hiking.

Charming and peaceful

The cottage was perfect. It has been been beautifully updated while maintaining its original charm and beauty. The falls with the viewing deck were amazing - perfect spot for morning coffee, and evening wine. The cottage is perfectly located. Lori was great! Would highly recommend.

A last minute get away

My husband and I have been vacationing in Catskill area for over a decade. We particularly love the properties either by the waterfalls or near a creek. One thing we enjoyed the most of this place is the backyard waterfalls and the creek. That gave us a very unique and memorable experience. The manager is very friendly and helpful.

Lovely stay!

I just spent 4 nights at the house with my 11-yo daughter and it was amazing. The house is very comfortable, very clean and has everything you may need. We enjoyed the old, a-little-quirky house feel, but also appreciated the beautifully renovated, spacious bathrooms. Property manager was super prompt and helpful! There's a neighbor house much closer than the description would indicate, but it was OK, especially since the house is at the end of the road. The setting is gorgeous. The deck overlooking the creek is so pleasant and the swimming hole / waterfall was all that we had hoped for! We had plans to visit the Kaaterskill Falls (which was awesome by the way, just go early before it gets too crowded) and then just wanted to relax with easy access to swimming, and that was perfect. My daughter had a blast. (Full disclosure, the swimming hole is not completely private, neighbors from across the creek have access as well). We chose to keep it low key this time, but the location would have been perfect if we wanted to explore more, with the 10-minute drive to any of the three towns and clearly endless trail / nature options. It was just the two of us this time, but for a house that sleeps 5 with direct access to semi-private swimming, this is a really great deal.

Fabulous location; clean; quiet but for the lovely waterfall. Home away from home

What a wonderful experience for four middle aged women with diverse interests. We did different things each day and there was something for everyone. Hiking, arts and crafts, restaurants, farmers markets, kaleidoscope, exploring. Most of all relaxing. Wonderful time was had by all!

Lovely outdoorsy cottage on the mountain

Great cottage just a few seconds from a fabulous waterfalls, 15 min drive to town can get you all the essentials you need. Very close to some great hiking, responsive hosts.
