We’re an Idaho family who loves spending time outdoors and making memories together. Whether we’re swimming and paddle boarding on the lake, riding the mountain trails, snowmobiling in the winter, sitting around a campfire, or simply enjoying a quiet morning with a cup of coffee on the deck, Cascade has always been one of our favorite places to escape the busyness of everyday life.

Creekside Cabin has been our family’s home away from home for years. It’s where we’ve celebrated holidays, watched our kids explore the outdoors, laughed around the fire, and created memories we’ll treasure forever. Sharing our cabin gives us the opportunity to help other families and friends create those same kinds of moments.

As hosts, our goal is to provide a comfortable, welcoming place where you can relax, unplug, and enjoy everything this beautiful mountain community has to offer. While the cabin has a cozy, rustic charm and isn’t a luxury resort, we take pride in keeping it clean, well-stocked, and ready for your stay.

One of the things we love most about this neighborhood is its history and character. Originally developed in the 1970s as a small mountain cabin community, many of the cabins were built from the same original design. Over the years, each owner has made their own updates and improvements, giving the neighborhood a unique mix of rustic charm and personality while preserving its nostalgic feel.

Surrounded by towering pines and a peaceful creek, it’s the perfect place to slow down and enjoy mountain life. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, and feels tucked away from the hustle and bustle, yet you’re only minutes from downtown Cascade, Lake Cascade, hiking trails, boat launches, and endless year-round recreation.

Cascade itself has a rich history. One of the area’s most interesting stories is the original town of Van Wyck, which now rests beneath the waters of Lake Cascade after the construction of Cascade Dam. It’s a fascinating piece of local history that adds to the character of this beautiful mountain town.

Because you’re staying in the mountains, wildlife is simply part of the experience. You may see a variety of birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and other native wildlife during your stay. We encourage guests to enjoy nature, respect the local wildlife, and help keep the area beautiful for everyone.

Creekside Cabin offers something that’s hard to find in this neighborhood—it’s one of the cabins that sits right alongside the creek. While many nearby cabins are tucked among the trees, being so close to the water creates a peaceful atmosphere that’s become our favorite part of staying here.

One of our favorite traditions is opening the bedroom windows at night and falling asleep to the gentle sound of the creek flowing just outside. In the morning, you can enjoy your coffee on the deck while listening to the water and taking in the fresh mountain air. It’s the kind of simple experience that helps you slow down, relax, and truly disconnect from the stresses of everyday life.

The cabin itself is cozy, comfortable, and designed for making memories. Gather around the wood-burning stove on cool evenings, cook meals together in the fully equipped kitchen, enjoy a BBQ on the deck, or unwind around the fire pit after a day of hiking, boating, fishing, ATV riding, or snowmobiling.

Although the cabin has been thoughtfully updated with conveniences like fast Starlink Wi-Fi and a Smart TV, we’ve worked hard to preserve the cozy mountain cabin feel that makes it such a special place to escape.

For us, what truly sets Creekside Cabin apart isn’t just the location—it’s the feeling. The sound of the creek, the towering pines, the peaceful setting, and the chance to reconnect with family, friends, and nature create an experience we look forward to every time we visit.
