Great location but...

Great location, close to so many restaurants and right in front of the beach. Water is not that great for swimming, has a strong undertow and rocky, but the beach is still great. Mattresses were hard and thin and pillows very old and offered no support whatsoever - should definitely be replaced. The only other recommendations I would make to the owner is that for short term stays (5 days or less), that the apartment be equipped with some basics (i.e., beach towels, salt, pepper, oil, sugar, some coffee). For short-term tenants, it does not make sense to purchase these items. We really enjoyed our stay otherwise and recommend this apartment for its locaton,

Good location, great service, but missing a few things

Overall, Maria was a gracious host, very helpful, and we enjoyed our stay. The apartment is great in many ways. Letojanni itself is pretty, clean, and well serviced for a little town. Getting to Taormina is a snap. Beach is miles long so didn't get crowded even on weekends. It's so great to be right next to the beach. The apt is spacious and has lovely large balcony with great views of moon and sunrise. The big smart TV was nice to have on which we could log into our streaming services. The apt is bright, but the sun doesn't shine directly in, which meant the place never got really really hot. Downsides of the location are that it can get noisy, especially late at night on the weekends, as the windows and balcony open on a heavily trafficked street. Closing the windows at night took care of this for us. The internet connection was shared by many apartments and not dependable. The kitchen offered only the bearest essentials. The air conditioning unit was not quite sufficient to cool the whole appartment evenly. Finally, the place looks like it could use a good scrub and a bit of fixing up here and there. Overall our stay was pleasant. Thank you Maria and Pina.

A perfect getaway!

I visited Letojanni with my husband for 3 nights. From the moment we arrived, we were very impressed with this apartment. First of all, it is centrally located in Letojanni overlooking a beautiful beach with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. When we arrived, our hostess Maria met us out front to let us in. The building is very secure with controlled access. Upon entering the apartment we noticed that it was immaculately clean and neat! There’s plenty of closet and drawer space if you’re planning an extended stay. The bedroom is large and has a very comfortable bed, air conditioning and access to the balcony overlooking the beach. The apartment is approximately a 2 minute walk to the bus stop to Taormina. The bus leaves every hour and it cost EUR 1.90 each way. The taxi was EUR 20 each way. You can also catch the hop on-off bus there. Overall, we were more than satisfied with our stay. I have no reservations in recommending this apartment for your visit to Letojanni and the surrounding areas.

séjour de 2 semaines mai 2017 à LETOJANNI

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour à Létojanni. L'appartement est spacieux , propre et très bien situé, face à la mer , le balcon permet d'y prendre ses repas et de bénéficier d'une belle vue . La via Luigi Rizzo est un peu bruyante , surtout en soirée, et le stationnement du véhicule y est parfois difficile .L'appartement est bien équipé ( linge de toilette et draps fournis ), pour 2 personnes, pour plus d'occupants c'est peut-être un peu juste , notamment les couverts ( assiettes , couteaux, fourchettes ... ) Nous avons apprécié l'accueil chaleureux sur place , notamment de la part de Renata , toujours disponible et souriante , la fille de Maria Tornatore , qui se trouvait sur place pendant notre séjour. Sinon , la Sicile que nous découvrions est une très jolie île ensoleillée , et l'accueil de la population locale très sympathique !!! Nous y retournerons certainement . Nelly et Edgard.

Nice apartment in the town centre

Very comfortable and spacious apartment in a great location however parking is very difficult to find especially in peak season. There was a nice balcony where you can catch the morning sun but unfortunately the building is set back so is in shade from midday. The air conditioning which can also be used for heating is useful and the apartment is very clean. Overall it was a nice place to stay.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung!

Eine sehr schöne Wohnung zum entspannen und auch sehr praktische Lage. Gute und einfache Kommunikation mit der Besitserin. Wir hatten viel spaß am sehr nahen Strand (andere Seite der Straße =). Die Wohnung ist schön, sauber, praktisch und still. Es gibt die Möglichkeit in der nähe was essen oder trinken zu gehen. Mann kann auch sehr schön entlang der Küste spazieren gehen. Es gibt aber auch ein Bus der in ca. 10 min nach Taormina fährt, was auch sehr praktisch ist, wenn mann ohne Auto unterwegs ist. David

Ein wunderschöner Urlaub auf Sizilien

Ich habe 10 Tage im wundervollen Letojanni verbracht. Das Appartement, in dem wir gewohnt haben, war direkt am Meer gelegen und hatte einen wunderbaren Blick aufs Meer, den Strand und die schmackhaften Restaurants. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet, sowie sauber und ordentlich gehalten - es fehlte wahrlich an Nichts. Da ich ein großer Fan von der italienischen Sprache, dem Land und der Menschen bin, empfand ich es also super schön morgens schon von den Klängen der Sprache aufzuwachen. Diese Atmosphäre hat etwas Einzigartiges! Der Nachbar über uns, begann jeden Tag um exakt die gleiche Uhrzeit sein morgendliches Ritual und gab seine italienischen Lieder zum Besten :) Die Besitzerin ist eine sehr nette und ausgeglichene Frau, mit der man sich wundervoll unterhalten kann. Es gibt viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, sowie delikate Trink- und Esslokalitäten in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die wunderschöne Isola Bella ist einwandfrei zu Fuß zu erreichen und ist eine richtige Augenweide. Man sollte zweifellos das griechische Amphitheater in den Bergen von Taormina besuchen - der Ausblick von da oben ist unbeschreiblich. Während der wunderbaren Farbkulisse der italienischen Oper mit Blick auf den Ätna und das Meer, wird man regelrecht in einen Bann gezogen. Es ist einfach bemerkenswert, vor wie viel positiver und guter Energie und Lebensfreude die Menschen dort sprühen - das steckt förmlich an. Ich kann nur Jedem, der dieses italienische Flair genauso liebt, wie ich ans Herz legen diesen Ort und dieses Appartement zu besuchen - ich wurde verzaubert! Liebste Grüße, Susanna

Vacanza molto rilassante in un posto accogliente. Molto gentile la proprietaria. Tra mare e luoghi da visitare nelle vicinanze è proprio una location ineccepibile. La casa è centralissima (ottima posizione se la sera fate tardi, un po' rumoroso la notte se andate a nanna presto).

Vacanza dinamica, ma rilassante

Al centro del paesino, tutto a disposizione. In particolare abbiamo usufruito delle ottime preparazioni del pescivendolo, praticamente sotto casa. Comodo il lido a 30 secondi dal cancello del palazzo. L'appartamentino e' accogliente, comodo e pulito. La padrona di casa e' stata gentile e discreta. Inoltre da Letojanni sono raggiungibili molte località bellissime, assolutamente da non perdere! L'unico neo nell'acqua trasparente ...meduse..., ma non sempre,

Siamo tornati ieri dalla vacanza e già ci manca quel posto incantevole. L'appartamento e' bellissimo! Fronte mare e con tutte le comodità. La signora Maria poi e' una persona molto cortese e sempre disponibile. Consiglio a tutti questo appartamento. Famiglia Lucarelli.
