私たちの家は、再生可能なマイクロ発電設備を備えた持続可能な不動産です。ハイテクバイオマスボイラーとソーラーパネルは、連続した暖房、温水、電気を供給します。

私たちは家を持続可能で快適な生活のために設計しましたが、照明、むき出しの梁、高いアーチ型の天井、石造りのアーチ型の出入り口、石造りのマリオン窓を備えた素晴らしい井戸のようなキャラクターと建築上の特徴を保持しました。 家は床から天井までのガラス窓のある光であふれています。ほとんどの客室からは庭園の2つの側面を眺めることができます。

Exceptionally good property!

Spent a great week here at the end of August. We were a group of four adults and for teens and had ample space. The property is immaculate inside and out and has a great pool! Absolutely loved it and will come back again. Highly recommended!

Great house and location

We stayed here to celebrate our wedding with immediate family, kids and dog. Was a great house with plenty of space to hang out. Very comfortable and definitely right up our street in terms of style and peacefulness. Walking distance to local shop which is very well stocked, two good pubs, Hook Norton Brewery and local deli. Caroline was helpful when needed and even offered us a late check out. Would consider staying here again as a treat. Many thanks Caroline!

Great property and extremely conscientious hosts

Had a great stay with family at this property for a milestone anniversary for our parents. It really went down so well with everyone! The hosts were excellent with communications and super helpful. Without going into personal details, they really went the extra mile in looking after us. You can absolutely trust them to truly care about you and your stay. This is the selling point of this property. The house itself was very clean and well appointed. The layout was good for our sets of families, as it has multiple bathrooms and the bedrooms aren't all on top of one another. The quiet sitting room with log fire was our favourite. Also, a great location. Few mins walk from the edge of the village -- which has a couple of lovely pubs, a great butchers with deli, and general store. Trying to think of something to make this review sound realistically balanced, rather than just gushing.... The surrounding gardens were a little out of shape, but that seemed due to the time of year (February) we visited and a harsh winter. It would be great to visit again in better weather, to be able to sit outside, use the pool, etc. Thank you very much to Caroline and co!

Wonderful

.A group of five friends stayed at Scotland End Barn – a gorgeous 5 bedroom gated barn in Hook Norton for two nights at the beginning of May. The accommodation is extremely comfortable in every way. You could see that the host Caroline had thought of everything , to make out stay perfect. The barn has two large reception rooms. One houses a big tv, which has Netflix plus a dvd library. The other has a bookcase filled with a variety of books. The five bedroom property comprises of three ensuite bedrooms. The fourth and fifth bedroom share a bathroom. (Although there is another shower room in the studio outside). All bathrooms had shower/hand gel and shampoo/conditioner. There is a large kitchen /diner with coffee machine, dishwasher, large modern oven and large fridge freezer. All the essentials you might need tea, coffee, cooking oils, condiments, tin foil, washing up liquid. Utility room has washing machine, dryer, iron and board. There is also a cloakroom downstairs. The area outside was quiet and peaceful. There were sun loungers around the pool and garden dining furniture close by. There is lots of parking available which was great. The pool was lovely and a good temperature. One thing to note is there is an extra charge to use the pool for maintenance, heating and insurance. Catherine also telephoned when we arrived and the next day to make sure everything was ok. There is also a folder filled with information about the house and surrounding area. The barn was

Great location for dog walkers and beer drinkers

Well appointed and laid out property on the edge of Hook Norton, with plenty of secure garden for dogs to roam, and within a short walking distance of the brewery and local pubs. Games room above garage and swimming pool keep teens amused for a while, but there is little in the local area for them before Oxford, 45 minutes drive away. Ideal for fans of country walks and good local beer!

Excellent holiday

Scotland end barn suited our family requirements extremely well. I am an above knee amputee requiring a wheelchair, and although there are considerable difficulties I was able to overcome most. The rest of the family are all active and had a wonderful time and are keen to return. The pool was a great hit with my athletic daughter and equally my granddaughter who is under two. Caroline is extremely helpful and quick to respond to enquiries. The space is really refreshing and we all had a great time.

60th birthday party weekend

I booked this house to celebrate my dads 60th birthday. It was the perfect setting for a getaway. The house was lovely, immaculate and was very well equipped providing everything we needed. The property was very infant friendly and very helpfully had a highchair. The host was very accommodating and willing to help us when needed throughout our stay. Would definitely come back in the future and recommend this property to others.

Amazing weekend with friends

We spent a weekend at Scotland End Barn in March for a joint 50th birthday. It was beautiful and exactly as outlined in the details on VRBO. Caroline (the host) was so helpful and responsive before the trip and very flexible allowing us early and late check-ins as there were no other guests. A beautiful and spacious house and easy walking to a lovely pub (The Sun Inn). Brunch at Hook Norton Brewery was a stand-out as well. Didn’t have to drive anywhere once we arrived. Highly recommend.

We’re always on hand if you need us, and our fantastic housekeeper lives nearby to make sure everything is ready for your stay. While we love living here, we also enjoy traveling to our holiday home in Cornwall, so we know what it’s like to want a relaxing, hassle-free getaway. We manage the property ourselves, so you can be sure your stay is looked after with care and attention.

We love living in this part of the Cotswolds - it’s peaceful, beautiful, and full of charm. Our barn is just a short stroll from a couple of great local pubs, making it easy to enjoy village life while still being surrounded by stunning countryside.

Our home combines comfort with eco-friendly living. We have fibre 2 internet with 60 Mbps Wi‑Fi everywhere, including by the pool and outdoor seating, so you can stay connected while relaxing outside. Solar panels provide electricity, and a biomass boiler keeps the house warm and cozy.

We want your stay to be simple and enjoyable. Our amazing housekeeper keeps everything spotless, and we provide a clear, easy-to-use manual with plenty of local tips. You’ll be welcomed with a small treat pack on arrival, and there’s secure parking for several cars.

If you’d like, the heated pool is ready for you to enjoy - perfect for a refreshing swim or relaxing in the sun.

One of the quirky highlights is our historic water well - safely covered, but a fun glimpse into the barn’s history. Above the garage, you’ll find a huge games room that doubles as a third lounge, with a football table, office space, and plenty of comfy seating - perfect for family fun, hanging out with friends, or working remotely.

We make it easy to feel at home, with all kitchen and bathroom essentials provided, plus logs for the fire, BBQ gas, and produce from our market garden for guests to enjoy.

Sustainability is part of the design, with solar panels and a high-tech biomass boiler supplying heating, hot water, and electricity. That means you get all the comforts of a modern home while keeping things eco-friendly.
