The facility was top notch, though there was no parking, except $40/day valet. They were very prompt, however. We arrived 2 1/2 days late due to weather, no fault of our own and we contacted the owner to perhaps work out some compromise on price. He would not budge, not a care in the world about us. We took our parents on this trip for their bucket list. The room was not what we imagined from the pics. Dishes had food caked up on them. Wash clothes were old and ragged looking. Towels did not smell fresh. The bedroom was separate from the living room by glass doors, in which the curtains didn’t even cover up the windows. The only bathroom was in the bedroom with Louvered doors. No privacy. The shower and bath tub were rusted and outdated. We ended up paying for a second room to actually accommodate our needs.
There were good points… the view was spectacular with sunrise view near partial view of Diamond head and partial ocean. It was within extended walking distance of great shopping and eats and beach. The staff was marvelous. And the Wyndham facility was appealing to the eye. They did have a pool and sauna which we really didn’t have time to use due to our delay.
In general, if the owner just worked with us a little bit, if everything had been clean, and if you only have 2 people in your party then this could be 4 star stay. This was as honest as they come, no spite, just honest feedback… Happy Travels
