This large, recently built house with a spectacular view was excellent for our family's stay in Corsica. It is a couple of kilometers up a very steep and narrow road (at least by American standards -- very normal for Corsicans), above the town of Olmeto. It was very clean and beautiful, the pool was lovely, the kitchen is well-equipped. We were greeted there in person and given a tour of the house and its features, and guests should pay very careful attention to their instructions for operating the lights, the stove, the locks, the pool alarm, the A/C, etc., as they are all operated electronically/electrically. We needed the A/C because we had to keep the mosquitoes out in the evening by closing the doors. For those who are curious about the layout, there are 2 bedrooms (one with bunkbed, one with queen bed) and bath upstairs, 2 (one with 2 twins, one with double bed, both with bathrooms nearby) on the main floor near the huge living room and kitchen, and 2 bedrooms (one with 2 twin beds, one with queen bed) with their own bathrooms downstairs that are accessed by walking out by the pool. Visitors should note that grocery stores in the larger town are closed on Sundays. Fortunately there are excellent restaurants in town! Don't miss eating out on the terrace at this house though, it is incredible. There are nearby hikes if it's not too hot.
