Beautiful location

Beautiful part of France, really quiet. Hosts were really nice and helpful. Just a very relaxing place to stay and enjoy.

The rural property is relaxing and calm. Car essential to make the most of the area and attractions . It was ideally placed for the places we wanted to visit across Normandy. Hosts Sid and Zena very welcoming and helpful with recommendations for local markets, boulangeries etc which we made the most of. We had a few issues with TV which Sid did his best to resolve and was able to sort a work round to allow us to watch in the evenings. A few tweaks would make this property even more relaxing A side/table light in the living room so don't have to have bright overhead lights on when relaxing. We adapted by using one of the lights from bedroom we were not using, some cushions for the sofa would also help comfort. We did find the mattress in master bedroom quite firm.I can't comment on pool as we didnt use but it looked clean and well maintained Overall this is a lovely property and lots to see and do in area

Exceptional

Where do I start? The house was immaculate and easy to look after, the situation was heavenly and spacious, there were interesting places nearby as well as beautiful beaches, but the most important thing were the owners. They couldn’t have been more helpful and wonderful to talk to. We are planning to come back next year. Where on earth could be better?

An idyllic spot away from the madding crowd. Totally silent and enough to keep the family occupied.

We had a brilliant two weeks staying in the farnhouse. The pool, games room, outdoor play area and the lake were all available. Inside there were enough books and games to occupy us when the weather was not kind, which unluckily was quite often for us. The region has a lot to see and do, apart from excellent beaches, although having sampled Carteret we didn't feel the need to venture elsewhere. Sid and Zeena were excellent hosts with sufficient information and advice, including recommending and booking restaurants, that we were able to make the most of our stay. We all left saying we would want to return - can't say better than that.

À recommander aux amoureux de la nature

Très bon séjour et excellent accueil de Sid et Zeena. La sérénité des lieux est propice au repos et l’accès à la piscine a été très apprécié par toute la famille, ainsi que la balade en canoé sur l’étang. Oh surprise ! Pas de moustique malgré la proximité de l’eau. L’emplacement nous a permis de visiter Otah beach-volleys, les marais de la baie, la cité de la mer, Barneville-Carteret, et une excellente balade sur l’immense plage quasi déserte de Port-Bail. Météo idyllique quand le reste du pays était sous la canicule. de Port-Bail.

Voyage en Normandie en famille

Nous avons été très bien accueilli durant ce séjour! Le charme et la tranquillité, nous ont permis de passer une excellente semaine au calme. De plus, les équipements à disposition (piscine, salle de jeux, canoë) sont un vrai plus à cette location. Merci encore aux hôtes, qui ont été de très bons conseils pour les endroits à visiter des environs.

Heerlijke vakantie gehad. Fijn verblijf. Heel mooi gebied. Super ontvangst door Sid en Zeena. Sid was altijd bereid om goede tips te geven over het verblijf in Normandie.

Peaceful, beautiful, friendly...

We had a wonderful week in the farmhouse with our two teenagers. The farmhouse itself was lovely - very spacious, beautifully clean and well furnished with everything we could possibly need, and the bedrooms were also large with plenty of storage space. The windows open out onto an uninterrupted countryside view, with the fishing lake on one side and fields and woodland on the other. The fishing lake has a rowing boat, and a small island, for use by guests. There is also a heated swimming pool and a games room, all in excellent condition and kept very clean. It was a very hot and sunny week (thank you for arranging that as well, Sid and Zeena!) so we kept our windows wide open at night - it was absolutely silent, and we woke to sunlight and the sound of birds. There are lovely small towns nearby to visit and the beaches (Carteret) were miles and miles of golden sand with hardly anyone there (in peak season). We were warmly welcomed, and well looked after by Sid and Zeena all week, and cannot thank them enough for such a wonderful and relaxing week! We will definitely be back again.

Perfection!

We stayed here in june this year. In the whole 9 days we didn't have a single problem. Sid and Zeena were easily accessible and would go well out of their way to help us. The house and grounds were amazing and everything was kept to the highest standard i have seen. Everything was regularly cleaned and kept maintained. Theres also plenty of activities to do there if you don't fancy driving anywhere else. All in all i would highly recomend staying at le pony d'albart and am already booking my stay for next year!

What can I Say??

Superb. Fantastic. Amazing. What a wonderful place to stay. The setting of these holiday cottages is simply the best, so quiet and peaceful. There is so much to do in the area, nothing was more than an hours drive away, with many things much closer. A must is Omaha beach and cemetery, a very poignant place to visit!! The cottages were of a very high standard and very well equipped, and if there was anything we didn't have Sid or Zeena soon found it! To sum up, this is a fantastic place to say.
