Villa Mori is an elegant, beautifully restored 17th Century Tuscan villa standing in 1½ acres of gorgeous private gardens with a hunting lodge and converted stable house. Immersed in the incomparably beautiful green countryside and vineyards of the area around Lucca called Vicopelago, Villa Mori estate is completely enclosed by ancient walls and is gated. Due to its charming landscape, this area of Lucca was favoured by the nobles of the time for building their country houses.

After its fabulous restoration, the main villa now has a beautiful ballroom or dining room, seating up to 40 people with double height glass doors opening on to the garden. There are six luxurious bedrooms with hand painted walls and ceilings, a superbly equipped professional chefs kitchen, a grand salon, second sitting room, study, TV room with Sky TV and a study complete this stunning home. A lift to all the floors and spa is discreetly incorporated into the building.

The owners have taken care to preserve the stunning original features including stone fireplaces, pillars and other features. Original beams and terracotta tiled floors have been restored and frescoes, soft furnishings and rugs of the highest quality have been added. The owners have successfully fused history with a contemporary feel, creating a wonderfully elegant home.

Luxurious spa facilities have also been added, including a Turkish bath and sauna (with programmable music, lighting and scent), showers, ice room and a mineral salt wall in the relaxation area. An extra charge applies for the spa.

In addition, within the hunting lodge, a few metres from the villa, there are 4 luxury apartments, and in the former stables near to the pool there is another luxury 2 bedroomed house.

Altogether 28 people can be accommodated in 14 rooms. The main villa is also accessible to wheelchair users, with a lift to the higher level and spa area below.

It is possible to rent either the main Villa Venere on its own, sleeping up to 12 people, without the apartments which would remain empty ensuring that the pool and all facilities are private for the use of the villa residents only. Or the villa and the apartments are all rented together, sleeping up to 28 people.

The apartments in the fabulous hunting lodge at Villa Mori have recently undergone restructuring in the typical Tuscan manner retaining beautiful original floors and chestnut beamed ceilings. The furnishings are of the highest standard with designer fabrics. The colour schemes and attention to detail is tasteful and relaxing. All the apartments have en-suite bathrooms, modern kitchens, dining areas and lovely lounge areas.

In the front, a green lawn contrasts pleasantly with the tradional dark pink of the hunting lodge, and relaxing moments in the open air can be enjoyed under a delightful pergola of wisteria.

The fantastic pool is the only one of its kind (16 x 9 metres, max depth 1.5 metres). The pool has a slipway, with the water being constantly filtered by a technique which avoids the use of chlorine. There is a hydro massage area with seating so that even small children can use it. The surrounding lawn has high quality cushioned sun beds for relaxing in. Wi-fi is available at the poolside.

There is a children’s play area on the lawn to the side of the villa. There is also a volleyball net.

There are horse riding stables, tennis courts and a golf driving range nearby and it is a 30 minute walk (10 min drive) to the fabulous medieval centre of Lucca, the home of the great opera writer, Puccini.

The beauty of the villa, its pool and grounds and the bright rooms of the apartments with their lovely furniture and red terracotta floors, ensure that a holiday spent at Villa Venere will be relaxing, comfortable and pleasing to the eye. Throughout the villa there is air conditioning and wi-fi in every room. The villa has staff available for 6 days per week, and additional maid service and daily or occasional catering and transport services can be arranged.

There's also a private wine-tasting cellar, where a sommelier will guide you through the vintages.

Massages and treatments can also be provided in the fine spa within the villa, or by the poolside.

Tourist tax : according to Lucca municipality regulation a Tourist tax is required and charged €3.50 per day for the first 3 days to each person over 14 years age. The owner will collect it on client’s behalf.

Event Fee: For events at the villa there will be an event fee of € 5000
