Enjoy a riverside "Lodgette" just steps from the banks of the Russian River and walking distance to the charming Healdsburg town square. Expansive river views and lodge decor. Fill your days canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddling, fishing, bird watching, swimming in the pool, riding bikes into town or napping on the deck. Kayaks, SUP boards, river floats, beach chairs and bikes all included!

Feels like the country but close to town! This serene country escape is nestled under oak trees and close to the Healdsburg's acclaimed restaurants, wineries and shops - minutes away by bike or foot!

Two cozy bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds. Each bedroom has separate access to bathroom with shower. Includes large family room with lots of comfy seating, Smart TV, chess set, games, puzzles, books and record/CD/cassette player. There is a twin bed in the family room so sleeps 4 adults plus 1 child.

Naturalist's and birder's dream: Great blue herons, white egrets, osprey, and bald eagles all nest in this stretch of the river. There is a large family of deer in the adjacent field, river otters, a neighborhood fox, tons of quail and many other birds!

New improved Kitchenette! New Smeg countertop oven joins a slow cooker, toaster oven, popcorn maker, s'more's maker, egg cooker, coffee maker, blender, ice maker, fridge and many more kitchen amenities (no dishwasher or microwave) - see photos.

Expansive outdoor space with both pool and river access just steps away. Several seating areas and two outdoor dining areas. Unobstructed river view. Ping pong table, lawn bowling, croquet, shuffle board, bocce ball and badminton included! New additions: 2 two-wheel adult bikes, 1 adult trike, 2 kids bikes!

What we mean by "lodgette": Lodge vibes but only two suites on several acres. One suite is upstairs (owner suite) and one suite is downstairs (your guest suite). Downstairs suite is completely separate from upstairs suite with exclusive use of pool, large deck two dining areas, multiple seating areas, large lawn, river toys, bikes and games. River path is shared between owner and guest but you'll find many walkable private spots for lounging, swimming, picnicking and paddling. Private driveway and private entrance.

***Also available is a "Riverbank Bungalow" with a queen bed, 2 person dining set, outdoor seating, outdoor shower, outdoor kitchenette, fridge, coffee maker and dry-flushing toilet. Converted barn gives camping vibes with all the creature comforts. Great extra bedroom for a 5th adult - send inquiry for photos. Additional $100/night + $50 laundry/cleaning fee.

Converted 3-car garage with Pilates reformer, water rower, treadmill, stationery bike, elliptical trainer, massage table, infrared sauna, vibrating plates, TRX, wall Pilates, weights, yoga mats, foam rollers and stretching area on new cushioned hardwood floors - send inquiry for photos. Amazing location and host

The house and host are both amazing. The river views are exceptional and the outdoor space was great for lounging and watching the local wildlife. Carina provided everything we needed to kayak and paddle board on the river, excellent suggestions for things to do in the area, and was a wonderfully gracious and helpful host. Our kids (7 and 14) loved it and we would all gladly stay again.

We had a delightful stay! The cabin is rustic and cozy, and the views of the river and wildlife were stunning! Carina was a fabulous host and ensured we had everything we needed. We were a quick drive to the square in Healdsburg, but the setting itself made it feel like we were miles away. This place is a hidden gem and we will definitely stay again.

Relaxing space right on the river

We had a fantastic stay right on the Russian River with 4 adults and 2 teenagers. The rental was fully stocked with river gear (kayaks, paddleboards and canoes) with easy river access. The pool and shuffleboard court were enjoyed. Birdwatchers will appreciate the variety of birds around the property. We even saw river otters while out kayaking. Even though the owner lives just above the rental, it still felt very private and peaceful. A great mix of nature, comfort, and fun.

Perfect getaway!

The property was gorgeous and as described! We saw lots of wildlife, the backyard is incredibly peaceful, and we were so close to downtown Healdsburg for easy access to great food and wine. The best part was how kind and communicative the host, Carina, was. We will definitely be back!

The house has a great view of the Russian River. We saw plenty of birds and a family of otters. The beds were comfortable. Kitchenette is limited but met our needs. Good location. Would definitely stay here again.

Great long weekend

I never leave reviews. But Carina really did go above and beyond to make sure we had a special trip. She took time out of her weekend to go over how we could take advantage of every kind of kayak, paddle board, intertube she made available. Nevermind offering up use of a ping pong table, bocce, croquet and even a shaved ice maker for the kids. Having that kind of river access and being able to walk to town was perfect for us. We could certainly see ourselves returning.

Beautiful setting and convenient location. What a great view with the hills and Russian River!

Property is in a lovely setting and well appointed. We didn’t lack for anything. Very close to Healdsburg (we walked to and from town one day) which has fantastic restaurants and unique shopping. Highly recommend this home. Carina was easy to work with.

Little piece of paradise on the Russian River

We really enjoyed our stay in Healdsburg! Just a few minutes from downtown yet felt so removed overlooking the Russian river, which was so peaceful. We were able to walk down to the river and walk in the water, which was super fun! The beds and pillows were super comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and overall we had a great experience! I would highly recommend.

Awesome Trowbridge Property

This is a gorgeous property and the owner lives above. It felt as though me and my friends were the only people on the property. The beauty of this property made our stay extremely comfortable!!! The only draw back is that there is only a kitchenette. If the owner would add a small stove she could command more and it would complete this property!

River Cabin Get Away

We had a wonderful 1-week stay at this charming river cabin. The inside is comfortable and well-equipped, with a spacious bathroom, very comfortable beds,and beautiful woodwork throughout. Outdoors you’ll find plenty of seating and lounging areas, a long pool (great for swimming laps!), natural-looking landscaping and beautiful views of the river. The kitchen has many glasses, mugs, dishes, etc., but it is small so don’t plan to do much cooking here. The owner may provide optional access to additional kitchen space. The location just on the edge of town is very convenient. We loved our stay here and plan to return soon!

Our stay at 1474 S. Fitch Mountain Road in Healdsburg

Our group of 10 spent 5 nights this week in in this VRBO property and we will expect to do it again. The property has a location on the Russian River with views that are beautiful. The 5 bedrooms and beds are comfortable and evenings are quiet and pleasant. The yard is good for small kids to run around, and the pool is another big plus. We saw hundreds of quail, some white egrets, blue jays, turkey vultures, red tailed hawks, and a few deer.

Great Location.....Excellent Accommodations

My family visited California for a wedding. This property is stunning. Great location on a large piece of property. The home is very spacious. We had a group of 8 of us and there was more than enough room. The owners were exceptional to deal with. It is very close to the downtown core of Healdsburg which has numerous shopping and dining options. There is also a golf course less than a mile away from this rental. I would highly recommend this location to anyone.

Incredible location

The house is really one of a kind. The property has an extended waterfront right on the Russian River, and there are canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards that you can use. Two of us kayaked upriver and saw an osprey at close range. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped; there is so much stuff that it may take you a few minutes to find things. There are multiple locations outside where you can sit and eat or play games, even a treehouse. We are seriously thinking of going back in a year or two.

Time to Relax!

I've spent two separate, wonderful weekends at this very spacious, cozy, and private house.The first time was with several girlfriends, and the second was with several couples. It's very clean, comfortable and comes well equiped. It has a large separate living area (plus bathroom and separate entrance) below the main floor that's perfect for teenagers or another family. It's ideal for a family or group that wants to be close to downtown Healdsburg (we biked there), wants to golf (a couple minutes away), wants to sit along the river or go canoeing (we've done both), and/or just wants to relax and enjoy swimming in the pool. If the weather is nice you're sure to enjoy a few hours out on the front deck mesmerized by the beautiful views!

Fabulous setting

I can't say enough about this wonderful property! It is truly a gem. So close to amazing downtown Healdsburg, and yet so private and quiet. It is spacious, well appointed, and breathtakingly beautiful. Whether you are looking for a retreat, family reunion, girls' weekend, you name it! This house is fabulous. The huge stone fireplace and wood paneling throughout makes for a great place to cozy up during inclement weather and just relax. The kitchen was very well stocked and we were able to seat our whole party around the dining room table. The expansive decks, saltwater pool, and Russian River in the front yard make for lots to do when the sun is shining. And the convenient location is hard to beat. We rode our bikes to downtown for a little wine tasting. We golfed at beautiful Tayman Park that is literally less than a mile away. We can't wait to go back!

Beautiful retreat!

We couldn’t get over how amazing the backyard was. The view of the river and hills, so much wildlife, it was really everything you’d hope from the pictures. And it has lots of seating and a great pool, so we were out there for hours a day. We surprised ourselves by not even making it into the river during our stay, but we’re definitely hoping to go back, and that will be top of our list! The inside had the basics. I would note that the kitchenette is very limited, but in retrospect I can see it’s very accurately described in the listing, and it’s on me for not reading it carefully enough. I’ll also share our temperature observations, since other reviewers emphasized the lack of AC: we were up there for two 100+F days, and the lack of AC was no problem for us. Granted, we were on day trips or in the pool at the hottest times of day, but by evening it was perfectly comfortable indoors with the fans (and we are San Franciscans with a very low tolerance for heat! 😄) We had the property to ourselves during our stay. I’m not sure who (usually? sometimes?) occupies the upstairs unit, but if they use the backyard too, that may affect the vibe. Lastly, the host was very communicative and responsive, and gave us some great suggestions for local events during our stay! All in all an amazing getaway, and we really would love to go back in the future!!

Carina, the host, was extraordinarily responsive, helpful and welcoming. I had to ask text several questions during our first day there. She patiently and cheerfully answered each text immediately. The house was charming, clean and comfortable. The property was gorgeous a lovely green lawn (rare for a riverfront home) with direct access to the river itself.

Perfect location, lots of space

This house is in a perfect location, on the river, close to the adorable town of Healdsburg and with easy access to many other Wine Country towns. The pool and river right outside, with all the bird song and activity, were beautiful and enjoyable. Mornings were amazing, peaceful, the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee (or tea) and read, plan the day, just sit quietly and relax. My husband said it was the most relaxing vacation he has had in a while. The house was spacious, with lots of room for a family to spread out, have their own spaces when needed, and to gather for meals, games, etc. The wifi was strong...two of our family had to work and do online classes while we were there and both were able to access the internet at the same time with no hiccups. The home, linens, etc., were clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed with cookware, dinnerware, etc. Throughout the property, the owner paid attention to details like having citronella candles outside to help against bugs, a cabinet of games and dvd's, and little notes to help you know where things are and how to use them. Carina was friendly, accessible, quick to reply to questions, and a wealth of knowledge about what to do in the area. Her recommendations for the farmer's market, live music on the plaza, a bakery, places to eat when we didn't want to cook, etc were spot on and we enjoyed Healdsburg life for a week. The people of Healdsburg were friendly and helpful. The only downsides were, first, no air conditioning, which might be ok most of the year, but we happened to be there during a heatwave and even cooling in the pool, using fans and opening windows at night didn't bring relief until about 1 a.m. The other downside is that the lower level is only accessible from an outdoor staircase. On the one hand, it would be great if you had multiple families or couples who wanted their own space, but it felt a little disconnected for one family traveling together. If traveling with little ones, you would probably want one adult to stay downstairs since there is direct pool and river access from those rooms. This information is in the description and another review, so I take full responsibility for not realizing these two downsides before I booked. With that said, I recommend this house and this hostess.

Great Family Home in Healdsburg!

My family and I stayed at this beautiful riverfront home right after Christmas and through New Year's Day. It was a great location for us to have privacy while also being close to the amenities of downtown Healdsburg and nearby wine tasting. My family of six adults had plenty of room to spread out. The weather did not allow for us to take advantage of the outdoor amenities as it was cold and raining off and on, but we enjoyed our time inside the home and loved the beautiful view of the river. We had a heating issue downstairs the first night we arrived but our host was very responsive and resolved the issue quickly. My only disappointment with the home was a misrepresentation in the listing that makes it sound like a 5 bedroom, 3 bath home. It has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms but the downstairs bedrooms (2), family room and bath are only accessible by an outdoor staircase. From the listing, I was not expecting that two family members sleeping downstairs would have to walk outside in the rain every time they wanted to come upstairs. This set-up would have been perfect for two families traveling together and wanting their space, but that was not our situation. I wish the listing had clearly stated that there was no interior staircase to the lower bedrooms. Overall, however, I highly recommend this beautiful property for a large group stay in Healdsburg.

Magical weekend on the river!

Looking forward to our stay

We are getting a rain check on what we are sure will be a wonderful stay at Carina's home. After looking forward to this vacation since last xmas, we unfortunately made our reservation during the fires. We have not been able to communicate with Carina since then, but hope that she and her family are all safe and sound

Four generations of our family have enjoyed this special place which was built in 1937. We are paddle-obsessed, previous owners of a canoe rental company and would love to welcome you to Healdsburg, the wine country and our pristine piece of the river!

This property offers the best of both worlds: peace and tranquility on the river while also close to town. Enjoy the pool, river, acres of nature and bird watching on the property or take advantage of the farmer's market, cafes, shops, golf course and wine tasting 5 minutes away in the town of Healdsburg. Wine tours and safaris can also be coordinated nearby.

There is a unique relaxing quality to this property noticed by all. We often hear "the air is different there" meaning the minute you step on the property you feel a sense of peace. You will find exceptional bird watching and countless wildlife all around. We recently counted 26 quail in the garden and there are always blue herons circling their nests across the river and ospreys skimming the river for dinner. Deer tread their paths through the property daily and raccoons occasionally show their masked faces at night. Also, our clear night skies make for fantastic star gazing. This riverfront retreat is a gem and truly a place to relax, reset and recharge.
