Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you are looking for a peaceful and authentic Hawaiian home experience, this is it! Beautiful gardens, sea breezes and plenty of fans. The house accommodated 6 adults amply, and the location is amazing, within walking distance to Brenneke and Poipu Beaches, with all the amenities needed without unnecessary frills. I felt the spirit of the place fill me with calm, and enjoyed making a lei from the the plumeria trees on the property. Please don't 'upgrade' it! There are enough McMansions and Resorts with AC; if that's what you crave look elsewhere.

Adorably charming vintage home in an excellent location! The house was actually more spacious than it looked in the photos. The beds we used were comfortable. A/C would be an excellent addition to the home- the many fans got a workout during our stay. Would happily book another visit any time!Our only problem was that the main TV was difficult to use. It was not a smart TV so we could not mirror our devices and could not get any cable channels. We couldn’t find any instructions.

Between its great location and great airflow, you will enjoy your stay. While the positives greatly outweigh the negatives it's important to disclose the issues that we encountered. The kitchen is way outdated. It's dark and the cabinets stick and are difficult to open. If you're planning on cooking a lot during your stay you might want to go to a place with a remodeled kitchen. The kitchen was fine for us, but highly annoying.

The cottage felt like an original on the street and authentically a beach rental. We loved the presence of the roosters each morning to wake us up and get an early start to the day. I do wish that the kitchen had a dishwasher , however, it suited us well and we very much enjoyed the lovely simplicity of the yard and location. All the beach chairs and umbrellas made it an easy walk to the beach ready to enjoy the ocean . We would happily return for another wonderful stay !

Amazing location! 5 min walk to beach and restaurants. House is charming and lots of ocean breeze. No need for AC if you open all the windows and use fans. Wonderful Hawaiian breeze and ocean sounds.

The 4 bedrooms worked well for our group, bathrooms were nicely updated, plenty of hot water and great towels. The house is a wonderful older simple island style home with a great back yard. Yes the kitchen could use an update, but all appliances worked and plenty of kitchen tools for cooking. The house is exactly as pictured. Many of the wooden doors and drawers would benefit from being planed so they don’t stick as much.

Wonderful Thanksgiving with the family

The house was great! Comfortable for all of us! Lots of room to gather and also quiet spaces as well. The yard was wonderful plenty of privacy and room for our 6 year old granddaughter to run off energy. Couldn’t beat the proximity to two beaches, one for the adults and a safe one for the littles. Don’t hesitate book it now!

Pleasant Hawaiian Holiday with little ones

Us grandparents along with son, DIL, one toddler and one infant had a lovely time. The house was spacious and the outdoors inviting. We had room for the little ones to nap quietly. We were close enough for a 2 year old to walk to the beach to play. The kitchen was well supplied so that we could eat in some days. Take out food was close and numerous restaurants a short drive away. There were plenty of activities for everyone.

I am a plant based chef and found the kitchen to have a robust selection of pots, pans, utensils, and even some seasonings! The walk to the beach was perfect. Not far at all and by the time we got to the house we were all dry. The temperature of the house remained comfortable and we loved having the windows open with the fans circulating the fresh Hawai’i air!

They found it very comfortable for 7 people.The home is very spacious with 2 large bedrooms, 2 smaller bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large common living area with dining space, and a small, but well equipped kitchen. It easily accommodated our 7 family members. They really enjoyed the large, private back yard.The property is well maintained and only a block from Brennecke's Beach. We have reserved it again for them next year.

Great home for a family get together

Reviewer Comments: The house is a short walk from some great beaches, a choice of surfing, snorkeling, swimming with turtles and monk seals, and a safe kids beach. The house was spacious with room to spread out indoors and out, with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is an older place which we quite like, but that does mean the kitchen is a bit dated and doors stick. But it had everything we needed. We stayed in December and with the louvres open and fans the house was always a comfortable temperature by day and night. We would be happy to stay here again. We really enjoyed the Napali Coast tour we did, as well as several restaurants nearby.
