This is our second time visiting this location. It is a large and comfortable appartment with everything you need. The best thing is the location. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk away and shops are a short drive away. Definitely recommend going to this place!

Beautiful and very spacious place close to the beach

Owner was very quick to respond when I needed to communicate. Place was clean and up-to-date. Rooms were very spacious. Quick walking distance to the beach. Beautiful view from the balcony. So saw many dolphins from the balcony. A/C worked amazingly well. Highly recommend and would definitely rent again.

Home away from home

This was our second year in a row staying at this property and it won't be our last. Plenty of space for a family of four which includes two girls, a 10 year old and thirteen year old. The area is laid back and quiet, the beach is just a three minute walk away. Two full baths, comfortable beds and an outstanding view from the balcony.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time. The condo was perfectly located near the beach and fishing. There was plenty of space for our family of four. We happened to be here over the Fourth of July and the patio was the best spot to watch fireworks.

Clean and spacious

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay in this large and very clean condo. The unit is nicely decorated with comfortable furniture and beds. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to make meals at home. The views are awesome allowing us to watch dolphins from the porch. The proximity to the beach made it an easy walk back and forth which was helped by the beach wagon provided. There is a nice launch spot for kayaks right near the unit as well. The welcome gift basket and note were a nice touch. One downside was that the fishing pier that is in the listing is not usable which was a bit disappointing. Overall we would definitely recommend this rental!

Great stay

Condo is conveniently located. Walking distance to the beach. Full kitchen, nice balcony view. Garage was great to keep car cool. Lots of beach toys and beach accessories for kids. Easy communication with host. Would recommend and would stay again.

After the Storm

We were aware of the damage to the general area and was advised by the owner of a few issues,no pool available,internet down and some cladding.We were offered a full refund but decided to go ahead,this was a good decision as the property was great just as described. Darryl the owner was very helpful.

Great location and spacious

My 2 children and I (ages 8 & 10) had a wonderful stay. We saw dolphins in the intracoastal and in the gulf. The condo is spacious and the owners are very responsive. I loved being able to park in the garage and use the beach buggy and toys so we didn’t have to bring ours. A quick walk to the gulf makes the location great.

Pure Paradise

We had the most amazing time during our week stay in Indian Shores. The property was super nice and clean, with an amazing view of the intercostal waterway. We got to watch the dolphins pass through a couple times, and the beach is directly across the street. The owner was quick to answer any question we had, and even left us a welcome basket. We highly recommend staying at this place, and hope to come back soon.

This location was amazing!!! Rooms are exactly as pictured. View of Bay was beautiful! Space is large and was very clean! Very short walk to beach and the items in the garage to use at the beach made our stay easy and enjoyable. Thank you so much!!! My family needed exactly this!!

Indian Shores 2024

We enjoyed our stay at Gulf Retreat in Indian Shores. The unit was just as described. Quiet, spacious unit with beautiful views of the intercoastal waterway from our windows. Easy walk to the beach. Owner provided beach chairs, etc. Owner was also very responsive when we had a little issue with the fridge. Talked us through the problem. We also received a welcome package upon arrival. Would definitely stay here again!

Attractive Beach Condo - Unexpected Shortcomings

The condo overall was very spacious, lots of closets & storage, nice furnishings, comfortable Master Bed & close to the beach. The Master had a full-wall window bringing in the view. Though there was a nice balcony overlooking the Intracoastal, it could not be utilized as workman in a boat blasted a boombox Mon-Fri. We spoke with the Dredging Co. on site who informed us they had been there the prior 2 wks & would continue for at least another 2 wks. The noise was deafening. Though the condo was outfitted very comfortably, there was a lot of deferred maintenance thru-out. The front door was poorly aligned & would not stay closed unless the deadbolt was engaged. The icemaker worked sporadically. There was peeling paint/drywall dropping from the ceiling in the Guest Bath with the shower vent almost clogged shut with dirt/dust. The wall behind the bed in the Master had blood smudged from bugs that were killed. A fake plant in the Master was covered in a thick build-up of dirt/dust. The Master WIC ceiling had signs of mildew/mold. The kitchen floor mats were very old, dirty & stained. The stained kitchen towels were in need of replacement. There were no screens on the sliding doors & the tracks could use cleaning/oiling to eliminate the loud noise when used. A deep cleaning of the premises including baseboards, windows, interior door jams plus touch-up paint where walls, doors & baseboards have scuff marks would make a big difference. Otherwise, the condo has a very good vibe.

We loved Indian shores!

We had an amazing time during our stay! My family of 5 enjoyed every minute of our time at the property. We loved seeing the dolphins from the balcony, and the beach equipment was so handy for our short walks to the beach. The location is perfect. A small store right next door was very convenient. And we utilized the trolley to spend a day in John’s pass. I would love to make this a yearly destination

Isabel is from Spain and we met while I lived and worked there for ten years. During our years there we enjoyed traveling throughout Europe and especially staying in the quaint Bed and Breakfasts that are so typical there. We made notes of all of the things we liked and disliked about everywhere we stayed and planned to one day have somewhere unique and cozy of our own to offer to vacationers.

In 2000 work brought us to St. Petersburg, Florida. In 2004 we purchased a condo in Indian Shores, just a few miles from our home. We decorated it with nothing but the best (Isabel is an Interior Decorator and has her own business). As guests began to know us and word began to get around we soon had a steady flow of visitors and a full calendar. Just repeat visitors were nearly keeping the unit booked. In 2008 we decided to buy a second unit, with the exact same floor plan and the same extraordinary views, just a few steps away. We call them our Gulf Retreat 1 and Gulf Retreat 2.

We love Indian Shores because it is the quietest, most relaxed part of Sand Key, the barrier island that runs along the Gulf shore from St. Pete Beach to Clearwater. It is the narrowest part of the Sand Key, only 150-200 yards across where we are located. That means you can enjoy both the Intracoastal Waterway and the Gulf of Mexico only a few steps apart.

Indian Shores is the last part of the coastline in Pinellas County that preserves a small-town feel. Gulf Blvd. is still just a two-lane road and the speed limit is 35 m.p.h. There's is only one traffic light in Indian Shores. There isn't as much asphalt as you see to the south or north of us, a lot fewer high-rise buildings and none of the tourist traps. While you will find all the restaurants and conveniences you need near-by Indian Shores is still primarily a residential, family-oriented community.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Our view is of the Intercoastal Waterway, the body of water that separates Sand Key from the mainland. We love it because of all the boat traffic - it's fun to watch. The dolphins are always a joy to see, too. They are most active early in the morning or at sunset. Manatee are a little harder to spot, but are always around, too.

When the tide is low there is a sandbar that emerges from the water just off our balcony. The seabirds all come to feed there and it's wonderful entertainment.

And the Intracoastal Waterway is beautiful to behold at night, when the lights from the boats and other properties reflect off the surface. You must see it to appreciate it!

And of course the beach is just across the street. It takes just a couple of minutes to get there walking. It's never crowded and always relaxing. We have beach toys, inflatables, beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler... everything you need except a good book and suntan lotion! And we even have a handy cart to put everything in and wheel it across the street!
