A wonderfully appointed, immaculately presented cottage which remained cosy in the midst of a serious gale.A great location with views and plenty of birdlife without leaving the property.A great base for exploring the area.We had a wonderful week.

Pleasant and comfortable stay

Clean, cosy cottage. Well equipped and welcome box was super with local gin, shortbread, tablet & oatcakes. Dog got pre breakfast walks to either Hosta beach or the Kettle spout.

Stay at Kettle Cottage

Excellent Location. Comfortable cottage with everything we needed. Comfortable bed and well equipped. Great coastal views and lots of walks from the door. Ann was a great Host and went out of her way to make our stay special.

A lovely small house in a remote, but wonderful location. The house was well equipped, and comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and warm when we arrived, the welcome basket of treats was a lovely touch. The immediate area had a lot to see and do, with great walking all around. The RSPB reserve at Balranald was great, with loads of birds, and really interesting flora easy to spot.There was plenty of great food in the locality, most notably at the Dunes Larder (a self-service shop with local cakes, biscuits, meat, dairy and more), the Dunes Cabin which served great filled rolls, and seafood. The Westford Inn was also great with good food and a decent pint!Finally I should mention that Anne, the host was great, responding rapidly to our occasional requests.

Just love this cottage and the Outer Hebrides

This cottage is just perfect for my husband and I and our dogs … everything that we need … and great for a base for exploring both North Uist and the rest of the Outer Hebrides

Light, warm, well equipped and comfortable cottage. Great bird watching and walks from the door. Lots to do a short distance away, whatever the weather.

Ideallic hebridean getaway

Fantastic self contained cottage with quality furnishings, stunning location with potential views to St Kilda on the right weather day. WiFi included, dog friendly. Wild seas and beautiful walks and beaches and cliffs.
