Overall this property is amazing. Stunning views, fantastic terrace, great pool area and location is 10/10. Its lovely and quiet but 10 mins walk takes you to the bussle of the town with a nice beach and lots of bars, resteraunts and shops. The owners are lovely with lots of local knowledge and tips. Just a couple of things that could be improved. The air conditioning is very poor. There is one unit at the front door which doesnt work that well. The rest are portable fans. This made for quite a few nights of very uncomfortable sleep. The apartment itself is lovely but could do with some fixes. For example not all the plug points work, there are some basic kitchen utensils missings and not all the rings on the hob work. If it wasnt for the air conditioning this would be 5* plus in my opinion. Truly amazing location and views. Quick note. The family have very friendly and quiet dogs. Didn't bother us at all but good to know.

Great Stay with Amazing Views

A spacious and well appointed apartment within the Villa. The views from the terrace are spectacular and overlook the Giardini Naxos bay all the way to the Cape of Taormina. From the terrace of the main bedroom there is also a wonderful view of Mt Etna in all her glory. The apartment itself is well equipped and has pretty much everything you need (fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, towels, hairdryer, bbq crockery Ian’s cutlery) and there wasn’t anything that we needed to ask for. The pool area is a sun trap and very spacious with a very good size swimming pool and outdoor shower (hot and cold) area. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols for those with children’s and/or wishing to keep out of the hot sun. The grounds and gardens of the Villa are pretty, clean and well kept. The only caution that I would add is that the Villa is located in an elevated position and, although only a short walk from the centre and beach (5 minutes), the walk back to the Villa is up hill which is steep on some places so may not be suitable for the elderly. In summary, a great Villa in a great location with great facilities…..and Salvatore and Titti were warm, welcoming and excellent hosts.

Simply exceptional

When you rent this apartment, not only do you have one of the best location in Naxos Gardini but you are taken care of exceptionally by the family who owns the estate. Will come back anytime!

Traumhaft!!!

Wir haben uns in der Villa Barbara vom ersten Moment an wie zu Hause wohlgefühlt. Peter und Titti haben uns sehr herzlich in Empfang genommen. Das Apartment mit zwei Schlafzimmern war wunderbar gemütlich eingerichtet und von der Terasse aus hatte man einen traumhaften Blick zum Meer, besser geht nicht !!! Der wunderschön angelegte Garten und Poolbereich war eine Augenweide und bestens gepflegt. Unsere Kinder spielten täglich Tennis auf dem Platz gleich nebenan, und täglich holte sich die Hundedame Lucie einige Streicheleinheiten ab. Der Weg hinunter in den Ort mit etlichen Restaurants und Lädchen stellte für uns kein Problem dar, wir genossen es, an den Zitronenbäumen vorbeizuschlendern. Wunderbar war auch unser ganz privater Bootsausflug mit Nicolas und das anschließende von ihm gekochte Nudelgericht , das wir auf unserer Terrasse genießen konnten. Vielen Dank für diese ganz traumhafte Ferienwoche in einem ganz besonderen Haus !!! Liebe Grüße von uns allen!

Prachtige woning, van alle gemakken voorzien en hele fijne eigenaren. Niets is teveel. Zeer gastvrij. Dank aan Titti, Annika en Peter en hun ouders. Een echte aanrader!

This is my 6th time in Sicily and this was the best

This family run villa is outstanding, we had a magnificent welcome pack with wine cola water fruit cold meats etc, they could not do enough for us.The pool was great, beautiful well kept gardens with figs, lemons and oranges everywhere. It is only a few minutes to walk to the beach and bars. The owner runs a club/ restaurant and we went one evening for a great night out he came over with us for a while then took £40 off our bill and got one of the staff to give us a lift home. We hired a car at the airport but the public transport is so good I won’t bother with car hire next time.We will definitely be going back hopefully next year, Sicily is my favourite destination

Traumblick, sehr nette Vermieter

Der Ausblick von der riesigen Terrasse ist immer wieder traumhaft. Der Pool ( den man weitgehend für sich alleine hat ) ist groß und sehr gepflegt, ebenso wie die gesamte Anlage. In der Wohnung ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Die Klimaanlage kühlt die Wohnung auf angenehme Temperatur, die Betten sind bequem, der Wohnraum gemütlich eingerichtet. Hier und da knarrt mal ein Rolladen, insgesamt ist der Zustand der Wohnung aber völlig o.k. Eine Aussenküche ist ebenso vorhanden wie ein Holzkohlegrill. Als wir abends ankamen, war der Kühlschrank gut gefüllt, Titti und Peter ( die Vermieter ) haben uns freundlicherweise noch Pizza geliefert. Die beiden sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend, Wünsche werden, falls möglich, sofort erfüllt. Zur Villa gehört ein Tennisplatz, den man kostenlos benutzen kann. Weiter haben die Eigentümer ein Sportboot ( 40 PS ) im Hafen, Peter unternimmt gerne mit den Gästen eine Bootstour, z.B. entlang der Küste vorbei an der Isola Bella, Angeln ist auch möglich. Nicht unerwähnt bleiben sollte die Lage der Villa. Sie liegt am Hang, was einerseits den traumhaften Ausblick ermöglicht, andererseits aber den Fußweg vom Strand zurück ( ca. 8 bis 10 min. ) etwas erschwert ( man gewöhnt sich schnell daran ). Für Menschen mit Gehbehinderung ist der Fußweg nicht zu empfehlen. Als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge ist die Lage der Villa super, nach Taormina benötigt man mit dem Auto 5-10 min., Catania ist in 40 min. erreicht. Zum Ätna fährt man je nach Verkehrslage ca. 45 min., zu einem großen Supermarkt ( tgl. geöffnet! ) 10 min. Geschäfte und gute Restaurants erreicht man fussläufig in Giardini Naxos. Insgesamt können wir ( 2 Erwachsene, 1 Kind ) Villa Barabara sehr empfehlen. Die Vermieter sind super, die Wohnung mit Terrasse sauber und ruhig, zur Erholung sehr geeignet. Wir würden jederzeit wieder Villa Barbara buchen.

Séjour Fabuleux!

Nous avons passé une semaine en famille, cette location est fabuleuse!! Une immense terrasse avec vue sur la mer, une autre avec vue sur le volcan, une piscine fabuleuse, des ôtes très très accueillants !! Des jardins magnifiques, tout est conforme aux photos du site!’ (Ce n’est pas un hôtel), c’est une superbe propriété décorée avec goût et au calme !! Je recommande sans rien à redire.....
