Our family has called Cornwall home for over 30 years, having enjoyed many holidays here even before that. Over the years, we’ve seen our four children grow up in this beautiful part of the world, and now our grandchildren attend the local school and enjoy everything Cornwall has to offer—including surfing, even in the winter!

We’ve always felt incredibly lucky to live in such a stunning area, and we love sharing its beauty with others. Whether it’s recommending a hidden beach, a local café, or the best surf spots, we’re passionate about helping our guests discover the charm of this place.

At Upperdeck, we’ve created a home that’s meant to be warm, welcoming, and comfortable—a place where families can truly unwind and make lasting memories. We’re here to make sure you have everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay, and we hope you’ll feel just as at home here as we do.

We chose this area to build Upperdeck because of its perfect balance of peaceful surroundings and easy access to Cornwall's stunning coastline. We’ve always loved the charm of the area, with its mix of quiet, rural beauty and proximity to vibrant places like Padstow and the 7 Bays. The beaches here are some of the best in Cornwall, and the atmosphere is always relaxed, making it ideal for both adventure and relaxation.

As for the house itself, Upperdeck has always been a happy home. We built it in 2000 with the idea of creating a space that felt like a real retreat—a place where friends and family could gather, relax, and make lasting memories. The design is a bit of a Tardis, with two spacious ensuite bedrooms downstairs, a large utility room, and a cosy main lounge. Upstairs, the open-plan kitchen, dining area, and second lounge with comfy chairs offer the perfect setting for family meals and relaxing evenings. It’s a home that’s been full of love and laughter, and we hope it will continue to provide that to all our guests.

What makes Upperdeck unique is the warm, homely atmosphere that makes it feel like a real retreat. This isn’t just a rental property—it’s a place that’s been filled with love, laughter, and happy memories over the years. We’ve worked hard to create a home that’s inviting, comfortable, and a true reflection of the joy we’ve experienced here as a family.

The house is spacious and lived-in, with two large ensuite bedrooms downstairs, a sunny, private garden, and an open-plan living area upstairs, where families can come together. It’s the perfect spot for relaxing evenings after a day exploring the local beaches. Whether you’re enjoying the comfortable leather chairs in the second lounge or sitting outside on the deck with a BBQ, it’s a place that feels like home.
