THE COTTAGE
KITCHEN – Cute eat-in kitchen fully stocked with dish sets, cooking utensils, mugs, cups, flatware and pots & pans, appliances: stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, 12-cup coffee maker & filters, toaster, blender, large double sink, and dining table with seating for 6.

LIVING ROOM - Cozy living room provides a great gathering place with a TV with cable and DVD player, comfortable seating, and gas fireplace.

PORCH - Large, gated wrap-around porch with gas grill, lots of comfortable seating, outdoor dining, ceiling fans & overhead lights.

BEDROOMS: Pillows and blankets are provided. Guests will need to bring bed sheets and bath towels.

The cabin was beautiful and very charming. We had an incredible time and were so happy to have found such a wonderful cabin to stay for the weekend. We have stayed in similar cabins over the years but this was by far the nicest. 5 Stars all around. We hope to stay again in the future.

Quaint little stay

Everything was listed as such, the drive to house was a bit of a nightmare at night, but in the end we figured it out on our end, 5/5 would stay here again

We are sorry you had a little trouble in the dark! We allow guests to check-in anytime after 3 p.m., and would recommend daylight hours if trying to find a cottage for the first time. Charming Cottage in the woods

We enjoyed our stay very much! The cottage was comfortable and filled with lovely old furniture. It was within walking distance of all the activities we had planned. The porch was a great place to sit at any time of day or night.

Beautiful home & neighborhood

We had a lovely stay this weekend. We were in town for the Renaissance Faire- which was only a few minutes away by car. The home and the entire gave the entire weekend a magical touch- absolutely stunning! We will definitely be back 😍

The owner of this cottage is an antique dealer, and she has it beautifully-decorated with interesting antiques for guests to enjoy. "A Step Back in Time" is a great way to describe it. Perfect location!

We stayed here for the Celtic Fling weekend at the Renaissance Fairie. It was the perfect location! The place was well done with antique furniture and decor. The only drawback is the only shower...its tight. The only other option is a beautiful claw foot tub...maybe add a shower attachment to that?

Mt gretna charm

The house feels like an antique collector dream. It's got lots of antiques everywhere! Fits into mt gretna charm. We loved the deck and spent alot of time there. The house is a bit dark inside. If you're tall def look at the beds. They are all full size. The basic necessities are not there. You need to bring them yourself - sheets, towels, paper goods, shampoo, conditioner. The shower is also a very small stall shower.

This cottage is one of two that Penn Realty manages that does not provide fresh linens, unfortunately - we are sorry for the inconvenience of having to bring along your own. We are working closely with the owner and hope to convince her in the future to provide them for guests! While there should be a limited supply of toilet paper and paper towels at the cottage, we ask guests to bring them along to ensure they have enough for their stay.

Aw, we are so happy to hear he loved it! Many guests fall in love with Mount Gretna and don't want to leave either! We are confused that supplying sheets came as a surprise. This is clearly noted in the listing several times, your check-in instructions, and the Welcome Guide you receive a week before arrival. We would never want guests to come unprepared.

Nice location in Mt. Gretna

This was a good stay and location for our group in Mt. Gretna! Lovely porch, bedrooms, etc. One caveat would be that the listing we saw said 2 full baths, but one of the bathrooms had just a tub (no shower or combo), which was a concern for getting lots of guests out the door in the mornings. Keep that in mind if that's a priority for you - otherwise, the stay was good and the location as advertised!

Great location poor amenities

Great location, spacious however, no soap had to bring sheets and towels and toilet paper. No coffee it was just lacking for the price of two nights a hotel would have covered these basic services.

We agree that bringing your own sheets and towels may be an inconvenience for some guests. Penn Realty plans to provide fresh linens (bed sheets and bath towels) at all of our cottages, this one included, starting in 2025. Many of our cottages do provide soap and coffee, too. We would love for you to come check out one of our other ones next time. An entire cottage in Mount Gretna provides a lot more privacy, and room than a hotel would!

"Wooded Wonder" is a wonderful cottage-bungalow in the woods

Delightful bungalow loaded with old-world charm, style and atmosphere. Nestled among other beautiful cottages in the woods, the expansive wrap-around porch and period furnishings make this a time capsule to be enjoyed and savored in a relaxed and reflective setting. The owner has done an amazing job of furnishing and decorating the cottage with a keen eye to authentic details. Commendable. And worth your time to just "set a spell" on the porch among the wooded wonder of Mt Gretna Campmeeting. We enjoyed dinner at The Timbers and at The Hideaway.

The house offered all the amenities needed, plus lots of amazing antiques and details. The check in process was simple and parking was available for everyone in our group. Perfectly located to walk to Hideaway and Jigger Shop. We even got a visit from a sweet neighbor. Come ready to relax and forget about stress! We felt like we were whisked away to a fairy garden.

Great, unique, relaxing get away place

The house and the community are very unique and provided a great place for our family to have a retreat away as we spent time hiking, reading, relaxing and enjoying nearby Hershey park. Front porch was a favorite spot for our family! Neighbors were friendly and helpful. The listed twin bed was shorter than a regular twin bed but all the beds were comfortable. Be aware that you need bring small kitchen trash bags, paper products, sheets, and towels. Overall, we had a great time!

Thanks for such a nice review, Krista! The porch is the favorite hangout spot, for sure. It is nice to hear the neighbors were helpful and you enjoyed yourselves so much! While the cottage may have a limited supply of paper products, we do ask guests to bring them along, to ensure they have enough for their stay. We have been listening to what guests want - while not yet for this one, some of Penn Realty's cottages now offer a linen package, as well.

The location really is great, but we are nothing but disappointed that you didn't enjoy your stay. We are working with the owner directly, who handles the cleaning and maintenance of this cottage herself. We have a variety of cottages throughout the Chautauqua and Campmeeting neighborhoods of Mount Gretna - we would love for you to check out some of our other options for your next trip!

Rustic, Quant Victorian Cottage

Quant, cozy cottage in Mt Gretna campmeeting. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable livingroom, beautiful wraparound porch. This property doesn't include WIFI or the lakefront .The lake is privately owned and can only be accessed by purchasing a twentyfivedollar per person per day pass. Half hour drive to Hersey attractions . Close to hiking and mountainbiking.
