Whilst you are staying in the beauty and tranquillity of the countryside and may just wish to walk and explore locally. The Cabin allows you easy access to many interesting and enjoyable places to visit, experience and/or dine within. Just a short walk or 4 minutes drive away is the quaint old White Hart Inn, or a minute further on is Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, gallery and tea rooms; on the moorland behind is the famous Chysauster Iron Age village looked after by English Heritage, then of course, at the old market town of Marazion (8 minutes drive away), there is a lovely sandy beach with a causeway crossing to St.Michael's Mount and its fairytale castle run by the National Trust, as is Trengwainton Garden and tearoom 15 minutes in the other direction and Godolphin House and Garden around 20 minutes away.
Just 3 miles over the hill you can visit St.Ives, with its quaint cobbled streets leading down to the vast sandy beaches of Porthmeor and Porthminster, its lovely harbour with bobbing boats and the picturesque surroundings leading to the Island promontory. St.Ives is also the home of many artist's galleries including the famous Tate Gallery, the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Gardens and the Bernard Leach Pottery and showroom.
South of The Cabin by 2 miles, Penzance nestles against Mount's Bay and is the harbour home of The Scillonian that can take you across to the Isles of Scilly. Chapel Street is the home of many antique shops, and Penzance also possesses Penlee Park and Art Gallery as well as the sub-tropical Morrab Gardens and old Victorian bandstand.
