Poor cleanliness
This property is in a nice quiet location on the outskirts of a lovely village with great outdoor space & private parking.
The directions to the property were poor and despite calling the owner, it took some time to find it, having driven past it!
We realised within hours of arriving that the dark tiled floor was filthy and the childrens white socks were black.
The shower was blocked so a few days in, my partner offered to unblock it if the necessary equipment was provided. Thick black hair was clogging it & it had obviously not been checked by the management company.
The kitchen equipment was all grimy so we put it all through the dishwasher & bought some antibacterial product to wipe down all surfaces.
After 7 days stay we asked when someone would be coming in to change the bedding & were told that although it was normally changed after a 7 day stay, because we'd booked 11 nights, it would not be changed unless we paid an extra fee!
We feel that this is really poor practise, makes no sense and was not made clear at the time of booking/payment.
We would not stay here again and feel that no care is taken over keeping what is a relatively new property in a good condition for guests to stay.
We cleaned the property, laundered our own towels on numerous occasions and unblocked a disgusting shower drain with not so much as a thank you.
We know the owner is UK based but she was aware of the issues and was not prepared to do anything about it unless we paid more money. Very, very disappointing & would not recommend.
