The location of the house was nice, quiet, and conveniently located to Glacier.
Being a family of 4, I do not feel it's accurate to describe this listing being suitable for 4 people. The main bed was comfortable but the second sleeping arrangement is an old (practically broken) pull out. After almost throwing my back out getting it open it was so uncomfortable that we ended up folding it back. The first night we tried having one kid sleep on each couch. However, the pull out couch was so old and lumpy that it did not offer a sleepable surface. In fact that kid ended up falling on the floor because the cushions wouldn't stay in place. Therefore, we ended up having one kid sleep with us, which resulted in no one sleeping well during our stay.
Because of this, although we had booked 7 nights, we left after 4. We let the owner know we left and explained why. She offered to bring a futon over, but at that point we had already made arrangements to head home early. To be honest, we were slightly frustrated with the inaccurate listing of the rental being suitable for 4, and didn't feel like trying something else out at that point.
There is no dishwasher, which we knew when we booked the property. However, when we arrived some of the silverware and plates still had food residue on them from whoever has staid before us. Therefore we started the trip washing a set of silverware and dishes that we then used. Also the tv service was not working while we were there. The owner did try to fix it but wasn't able to doing our stay. Neither was the best way to start our vacation. Compounded with the sleeping situation, it wasn't the relaxing getaway we had planned to cap off our road trip.
I was disappointed that the owner did not offer us a partial refund, seeing that we only staid 4 of the 7 nights. In my opinion that would have been the right thing to do.
