Chetola Resort is an 87 acre just off Main Street in quaint Blowing Rock. It is the perfect place to relax, be inspired and make memories with those you Love.

Laurel Nook is a newly renovated condo with an open, airy living and dining area, that walks out to a covered porch - perfect to watch the Sunrise or relax at the end of a fun day exploring the High Country.

Just a one-minute walk from the Lodge that includes a Spa, Orvis Fly Shop, Coffee Shop, Gift Shop and Timberlake Restaurant. Enjoy the Lake with Fishing, walking path, waterfall and graceful Swans and a sledding hill in the winter. Trailhead to Bass Lake and the Moses Cone Trails is accessible from the back of resort. There is so much to do without even leaving the property!
Short walk to Downtown Blowing Rock with many restaurants, shops and Memorial Park. The Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad and Blue Ridge Parkway are less than 3 miles away, App State University is 5 miles, and Appalachian Ski Mountain is just a 10 minute drive .

Laurel Nook Unit features a master with comfy king bed and private bath, separate from the two guest bedrooms, one with a king bed and 1 Queen. A rollaway twin bed and pack 'n play are also available to sleep a total of 7 people. All bedrooms have Hotel Linens, Smart TV, personal fan, alarm clock and WiFi. Charging cables, sleds, cards, games and kids toys.
Bath towels and personal care products are included and there is a Washer, Dryer and laundry detergent in unit.

Well-stocked Kitchen has gas stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator/freezer. Keurig coffee maker and variety of coffee and hot chocolate K-Cups. Eggs, Milk, Juices, Cereal, Breakfast Items, Snacks, waters and sodas provided upon arrival of your stay.

We enjoyed the condo including bedroom spaces with very comfortable beds and bedding, updated primary bathroom with a large shower, hall bathroom which was perfect for those staying in the second bedroom, and plenty of cozy living room seating and dining seating for all. The living room space adjacent to the open kitchen were perfect for family conversations, and having the patio area off the living room provided another space for fellowship. The kitchen was well appointed, updated, and had anything we needed or would need for our stay. The host and hostess were kind to check in and be sure things were going well. We had a wonderful experience and rated the VRBO as high as possible to reflect that.

Laurel Nook at Chetola-Family Getaway

This condo showcases superior building and decorating style! Along with the numerous amenities of the Chetola resort, Laurel Nook had us stocked with snacks, drinks and all our needs for a great 5night stay with our 2 grandchildren. Very high end mattresses assured restful sleep-one of our most important criteria. Five star recommendation all around!

Best of the best

Amazing property for a small to medium size family staying in the NC mountains. Super easy access to Appalachian Ski Mountain as well as being close to Beech and Sugar Mountains. Hosts were amazing. Lots of on property amenities and proximity to pool/spa and restaurant made it even better. Beautifully decorated and well supplied for staying in. Beds were super comfy and gas fireplace was the cherry on top. Coming back again soon!

Awesome Accomodations

Fabulous place to stay: roomy, clean, great view, well-stocked w/games, puzzles for all ages, plenty of drinks and snacks, etc. Close to downtown Blowing Rock and walkable to nearby Moses Cone Memorial Park for hiking the many trails. Oh, and GREAT hot tub off master bedroom!! Would love to come back!

Family getaway

We have been to Chetola several times, but this was our first stay in this at Laurel Nook. The condo was even better than advertised, if that’s even possible. The location being near the main lodge was a bonus, but the best part was the whole experience. The beds were really comfortable. There were also a few other perks that the owners provide that just made the stay that much better. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful!

We loved our stay at Laurel Nook. The condo is beautiful and clean, and all the beds and furniture are very comfortable and lovely. We really enjoyed the cozy covered porch and outdoor sofa and rockers, a fun place to watch the hummingbirds come and go. The kitchen had everything we needed, down to all the spices, and three ways to make coffee! We loved our time there, and definitely hope to return. Mountain Retreat Perfection!

We could not have imagined a more immaculate, cozy, BEAUTIFUL mountain retreat that was fully stocked with ALL of the amenities above and beyond our expectations. Our family could truly unpack and relax- from the smallest detail like fresh eggs in the fridge, local coffee, fun snacks and extra drinks after skiing, to luxurious resort bedding and linens, plus cozy blankets to warm up next to the stone fire place. This condo was like staying at a dear friend’s house, not your typical rental! This condo will be a tradition for our family’s mountain trips for years to come!
