Located in Frangokastello on the southern coast of Crete, Dreamy South enjoys an elevated hillside setting with uninterrupted panoramic views of the Libyan Sea and the surrounding natural landscape.

The Garden Level apartment offers a comfortable and practical layout, ideal for families or small groups. With two separate bedrooms, an open-plan living and kitchen area, and direct access to the outdoor spaces, it provides both privacy and ease of living. The front veranda opens toward the sea, allowing guests to enjoy the view in a relaxed and sheltered setting.

The swimming pool, positioned at the edge of the hill, maintains a visual connection with the sea and is surrounded by palm trees and landscaped garden areas. It is shared only between the two apartments of the property, preserving a calm and uncrowded atmosphere.

The sandy beach is approximately 200 meters away and can be easily reached on foot, making daily swims effortless. Traditional tavernas, small local shops and the historic Frangokastello Castle are all within close proximity.

Wonderful stay! It is a pity that we stayed just for a few days next time we will book more! Me and my friend are touring Crete and we had a wonderful time at Dimitra and Kostas'! The apartment is super clean (thank you guys for the extra cleaning), bright and very big! Much bigger than we thought. It had everything we needed and Dimitra and Kostas told us that if we needed something they were always there to help. We loved sitting on its upper terrace and enjoying the sunset and the view to the little village and the sea. The first evening when we arrived it had strong wind, but it didn't bother us at all, the apartment is on the ground floor and there is no wind there, we sat on its first terrace. The pool is amazing, a bit cold, but we loved it. It is near the taverns, and supermarkets and we felt it like our home. The nearby tavern is very good, and Dimitra gave us tips for beaches and what to eat. Exceptional stay to close our tour. We will come back for sure.Thank you very much.

Dimitria und Kostas waren sehr nette Gastgeber! Die Ferienwohnung war allerdings eher eine Souterrain Wohnung. Im Sommer okay aber im Herbst zu dunkel! Bei kalten Tagen und viel Wind nur eingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Fabulous place, we really enjoyed it. The hosts Dimitra and Kostas are lovely people, friendly and generous without being imposing. It was like staying with friends. There are two apartment units at the property. We stayed in the bottom apartment which has a lovely outside area with beautiful views. The pool is a good size and most of the time it was only us using it. The local sandy beach and very good taverna are only about 5 minutes walk away and there are many other nice tavernas / restaurants further along the coast which easily can be walked to. We thoroughly recommend the apartment to anyone looking for a relaxed, quiet getaway with a beautiful view and would definitely stay here again.

Liebe Dimitra, lieber Kostas, wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub und das verdanken wir auch euch und eurer liebevollen Gastfreundschaft. Wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt und wurden wie Freunde von euch aufgenommen. Ganz lieben Dank dafür! Die Unterkunft wurde als Ferienhaus bezeichnet, ist aber eine von zwei Ferienwohnungen, daher leider 1 Stern Abzug bei der "Beschreibung im Internet". Mein Mann, unsere 12jährige Tochter und ich haben das untere Apartment bewohnt, was mit allem ausgestattet war, was man benötigt und sehr gepflegt war. Der Gemeinschaftspool war sehr sauber und wir haben ihn jeden Tag sehr genossen. Die Unterkunft hat eine traumhafte Lage mit Blick auf das glasklare Meer und die majestätischen Berge. Wir konnten sehr gut entspannen und haben jeden Tag Ausflüge mit dem Mietwagen an z.B. tolle Strände, Schlucht unternommen. Dimitra und Kostas waren stets eine große Hilfe, ob für super Ausflugstips oder eine kaputte Glühbirne. Vielen lieben Dank für alles, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Herrliche Lage, hervorragende Sauberkeit. Sitzen mit Meerblick unter einer Palme im Garten nur für uns, Schwimmen im großen sauberen Pool. Wandern in den nahegelegenen Schluchten. Dimitra fragte jeden Tag nach, ob wir irgendetwas benötigen. Es fehlte nichts für einen entspannten Urlaub. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Beautiful

What a find, beautiful part of Crete!The apartment was clean and comfortable. Lovely big pool over looking the sea. Demitra and kostas are the loveliest of people, very helpful, gave us lots of great recommendations. It’s very quiet and tranquil, just what we needed! There is a taverna just a couple of minutes walk, great food on the beach front. We can’t wait to return, thank you both for an amazing stay.

We had a wonderful stay in Dimitra and Costas's apartment. It was spacious and well appointed. The hosts were very attentive and helpful. The view from the balcony was great and there was a brilliant taverna within walking distance near the beach. We strongly recommend this property and hope to return next year

Un endroit idéal pour séjourner au calme. Vue sur la mer et les montagnes. Dimitra est charmante et aux petits soins pour ses hôtes. Kosta vient vous chercher à la Taverne ( vous lui téléphoner) pour vous montrer le chemin.Il nous manque rien. Appartement bien équipé.Tout est parfait, d’une propreté irréprochable. Agréable piscine avec des bons transats et un beau coucher de soleil. La taverne, à 10 min de promenade est excellente.Attention Wifi capricieux,mais on y arrive. Je vous recommande ce logement, très sympa pour 4 personnes.

Wir waren 10 Tage bei Dimitra und Kosta. Schon die Begrüßung war sehr herzlich und nett. Die Wohnung ist groß und sehr gepflegt. Die Lage ist traumhaft. Der Ausblick aufs Meer wunderschön. Es war sehr ruhig, man konnte wunderbar schlafen. Wunderschöne Strände in der Nähe, Tavernen und Lebensmittelläden auch. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, und den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Dimitra und Kosta sind die besten Gastgeber, die wir je hatten. Vielen Dank für die wunderschöne Zeit. Wir kommen wieder!!

A wonderful, hidden gem

The photos do not do this place justice. It is beautiful, scenic and hidden away. Close enough to walk to the beach or any number of local tavernas but also boasting the rarity of a lovely, shared pool. There are two apartment units at the property but you don't feel as if you are imposing on another family's holiday. The town itself is a quiet, authentic slice of Crete. There are several very decent beaches with excellent snorkelling opportunities along the small stretch of coast and a number of very decent, picturesque tavernas to chose from. I would recommend car hire because it opens up further opportunities along the coast, such as boat hire from Sfakia or the Prevelli beach trip. The hosts are friendly and generous without being imposing. It felt more like staying with friends - they are always on hand to ask for tips and advice about local culture. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed, quiet getaway.

Toller Familienurlaub auf Kreta

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen zweiwöchigen Aufenthalt bei Dimitra und Kostas. Die Wohnung ist groß und gemütlich und die Außenanlagen und der Pool sind traumhaft und sehr gepflegt. Eine preiswerte und leckere Taverne und ein kinderfreundlicher Sandstrand sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wunderbarer Süden

Wir waren vom 12 - 22 Juni in Frangokastello. Vorab - es war der schönste Urlaub seit langer Zeit. Wir sind in der Nacht um 23 Uhr mit unserem Mietauto am vereinbarten Treffpunkt am Kastell schon sehr herzlich von Dimitra empfangen worden und dann gemeinsam zur Unterkunft gefahren. Am nächsten Morgen wurden wir dann mit einem phantastischen Blick auf Meer und Berge und den Swimmingpool überrascht. Das Anwesen ist wunderschön und gepflegt, die Ferienwohnung schön und sauber und der Platz und die Sitzgelegenheit auf der Terasse einfach klasse. Man sitzt da und genießt den Blick aufs Meer. Die Umgebung von Frangokastello ist sehr entspannt, Man kann mit dem Auto bis an den Strand fahren und für einen Preis von 5 Euro zwei Liegen und einen Sonnenschirm mieten. Der feine Sandstrand und das kristallklare Merrwasser laden einfach zum Baden ein. Es gibt viele Tavernen wo man zum Teil direkt am Meer sitzen kann. Das Essen ist durchweg gut und man bekommt zum Essen immer kostenlos eine Karaffe mit Wasser, eine Kleine Vor,- und Nachspeise und natürlich eine kleines Gefäß mit reichlich Raki (Schnaps). Man kann hier herrlche Wandertouren z.B durch die Imbrossschlucht oder einfach Ausflüge ins Landesinnere machen. Die Vermieter Dimitra und Kostas sind zwei ganz liebe und reizende Menschen die immer ansprechbar für ihre Urlaubsgäste sind und mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stehen. Unser Fazit Wundervoller Urlaub -- wir kommen gerne wieder !!!!!!!

Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben sehr angenehm, mit weitem Blick auf Meer und Küste, viel Ruhe und zugleich allen wichtigen Versorgern ums Eck, wie Taverne, Market, etc. Dimitra und Kostas sind äußerst hilfsbereit und freundlich, wir wurden von Ihnen herzlich begrüßt und aufmerksam betreut. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden wieder dort übernachten, wenn wir nach Südkreta fahren. Top-Empfehlung!

Wunderschöner Ort und Unterkunft um die Seele baumeln zu lassen

Wir sind als Familie (Frau, 2 Kinder) angereist. Die Unterkunft ist im Souterrain, was gerade zur Sommerzeit klimatisch vorteilhaft ist. Sie besteht aus einem großen Wohn- und Essbereich, der gleichzeitig der Eingangsbereich der Wohnung ist. Darüber hinaus gibt es zwei Zimmer, jeweils mit Fenster. Das Badezimmer ist ausreichend groß und hat auch eine Waschmaschine. Klimaanlage ist im Schlaf- und Wohnzimmer. Darüber hinaus gibt es ausreichend Ventilatoren, die im fast schon ausreichen. Alles in allem war die Unterkunft äußerst groß und extrem gepflegt. Viele kleine Details sorgten dafür, das wir uns vom ersten Augenblick an zu Hause fühlten. Das Beste aber war der Außenbereich vor der Wohnung. Mit einem unglaublich schönem Ausblick, schmeckt Frühstück und Abendbrot, auch den kleinen, gleich doppelt gut. Ganz zu schweigen vom Pool, der zum Verweilen einlädt. Die Lage ist fußläufig zu einem kleinen Strand, der fast kaum touristisch erfasst ist und dennoch wunderschön. Wie der Strand wirkt das gesamte Dorf fast schon ursprünglich und vom Tourismus kaum beinflust, was diesen Ort zu einem kleinen Paradies auf Erden wirken lässt. Wir danken unseren Gastgebern, die äußerst freundlich wären. Als krönenden Abschluss gab es sogar noch ein kleines Geschenk. Danke Zusammengefasst ist diese Unterkunft das beste Preis-Leistungsverhältnis das wir seit sehr langer Zeit erlebt haben (wenn überhaupt).

Der Name hält, was er verspricht

Wir haben uns bei Dimitra und Kostas sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Die gesamte Villa mit Garten, Pool mit Blick aufs Meer und die Umgebung und unserer Ferienwohnung waren wunderschön und genau richtig für uns, um herunter zu kommen und zu entspannen. Dimitra und Kostas sind die besten Gastgeber, die man sich wünschen kann. So herzlich, um die Gäste bemüht und fleißig, damit es uns immer gut ging. We are Kostas and Dimitra, and we created Dreamy South as a place that reflects our love for southern Crete. Our goal is to offer a relaxed environment where guests feel comfortable, free from rigid schedules, and able to fully enjoy their time at their own pace.

We personally welcome our guests upon arrival and remain available whenever needed, always with a discreet presence and full respect for your privacy and holiday rhythm. We truly enjoy meeting people from different countries and helping them discover the authentic side of southern Crete.

Our hospitality is based on personal care, genuine communication and attention to detail, so that each stay feels comfortable, smooth and sincerely welcoming. We look forward to meeting you in person and hosting you at Dreamy South.
