We both windsurf, kitesurf and dive so can give local advice about the best spots and we love eating so there is a guide to our favourite restaurants, so you can arrive and discover the best bits very quickly.

We were so lucky to be able to work in Dahab in 2002 and 2006. Consequently we fell in love with the place, the people and the atmosphere. There is something very special about Dahab (meaning "gold"), which seems to draw people back. When we were away, Dahab was always in the back of our minds, mainly due to the amazing turquoise warm water, the incredible watersports and chilled Dahab vibe.

The conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing are second to none with incredible flat water, perfect for all levels and also a wave area. All year round sunshine and warm water are only a short flight away. There are so many things to do in the area so if you are traveling with non watersports friends or family they will still have a superb time here too. The beach and Lagoon Villa's garden is sheltered from the wind. The locals are really friendly and many people return to Dahab year after year.

A very unique place in Dahab. A very relaxing garden to enjoy a good book, a cool drink in the outdoor Jacuzzi pool (seasonal), or a lovely BBQ under the stars.

We love the area as it is quiet, clean and we feel very safe here. The beach is a 3 minute walk and this is where you will find all the windsurfing centres. It is a 10 minute walk to the kitesurf lagoon. There are glass bottom boat trips to the reef for snorkelling and it is a perfect beach for families as it is sandy and gently sloping. There are no waves and the beach is also sheltered from the wind. There are waterski boats for wakeboarding and inflatable fun too.

The seahorse apartment has a spa bath in the bathroom and a beautiful terrace overlooking the outdoor jacuzzi pool. The wifi is complimentary and a good speed for Egypt. The green garden is a luxury in the desert!

There is a supermarket, launderette, post office, ATM and vegetable shop less than 1 minutes walk away, so stocking up is easy. The prices that you pay in the supermarkets and restaurants are unbelievably cheap. The Egyptians and Bedouins are extremely friendly and this area is very well respected.
