Walking through the cabin I was impressed--beautifully updated kitchen and bathroom, new paint and carpet throughout, and I could tell the owners cared about the details. The owner Mike was easy to reach for booking our stay and responsive to questions/inquiries before and during our stay. When we arrived he greeted us and showed us around the property and described all the amenities. This cabin is quiet and perfect for relaxing and connecting with people and nature. The upstairs is two bedrooms, each with full-sized beds. Ample space and separation from main rooms/outside to bring a pack-n-play for sleeping baby/toddler(s). Ceiling fans in all rooms and nice wood blinds to block out light if needed. Beds are comfy and furniture is sturdy, never a need for places to sit even with a big group. The downstairs has the kitchen, full bathroom, eat-in kitchen, bedroom with queen bed, and living room with 2 full-size futons that were comfortable for sitting and sleeping. The furniture is solid and not cheap. You can see out the back to the lake when you walk in the front door as the entire side of the house facing the lake is glass sliding doors. Gorgeous views all day long and breathtaking sunsets. We're city dwellers and oft don't "rough it" so this was a nice home away from home. The back porch runs the length of the house. There's a grill, large patio table on the lawn, hammock (hubby's fave), campfire area with chairs and picnic table. The "bunk house" is a small house next to the cabin with bunk beds. Perfect for kids/teens to have a sleepover or adults to sleep separate. Also nice mattresses. The steps down to the lake are covered in trex deck material and therefore nice and sturdy. The dock is wonderful and our sons LOVED fishing off the dock (with intro lesson by owner Mike). We rented the pontoon and pulled the kids behind tubing, and boated around the lake and even parked in the middle and jumped off to swim. Truly a fantastic experience full of memories, thanks in no small part to Mike and his wife's attention to detail and focus on customer service. Some perks/things we didn't know about this property before renting: 1) this property has an adjoining campsite that Mike also owns that can be rented separately; 2) the stairs going to the top floor can be steep for those who don't climb well though there are railings on both sides; and 3) Mike was in a nearby cabin which was GREAT if we needed advice, help, or forgot something. We will return :)!
