We were looking for a small home in a rural location, but close enough to town to visit old friends and neighbors. This cabin was perfect! There was a little more traffic on the (dead-end) road than we expected, because of the trail at the end of the canyon, we suspect, but it was wonderfully quiet at night and we slept very soundly.
We loved the cabin! Though it's an older property and so not spotless, the cabin was well-maintained, clean, and neat, and the kitchen was well provisioned and clean. We prepared meals there and dined in comfort.
We were delighted to hear Cottonwood Creek at the bottom of the hill, and one of the highlights of our week there was to sit on the hill behind the cabin with a glass of wine in the evening and listen to the creek in the cool of the evening.
For us, this was centrally located: easy access to town (20 min), to Flying D, Virginia City, and Yellowstone West Entrance.
Our only regret is that we didn't book an extra couple of days to simply sit at "home" and enjoy this cabin. Wonderful property, and we hope to return next year.
