Great house with pool, ideal for very hot days. Breathtaking view over Nice. House meets all expectations. The house was stunning and very well equipped. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was fabulous. It was very hot over the fortnight so could have done with some bigger fans in all the rooms. Absolutely loved everything about the property. As we were there for 12 nights feel there could have been a linen change at the end if the first week.
Gerard the owner was lovely and super helpful. Also, on arrival it would be a nice touch to have some bottled water and maybe small welcome pack. From booking to holiday I felt the service provided by Joie de Vivre was excellent. Would highly recommend - Mrs L from Kent, July 24.

Paul was on the ball all the time, so great service. When we had all the info and decided, it only took minutes to have it done and confirmed. Its location and the calmness were the best features, even though on the edge of Nice it was super restful. Oh and the pool. Warm, welcoming, relaxing, fun and I could swim and cook in a good kitchen every day. We are more than happy with the service and with the 'flower house'. please ship it back to the UK. A fantastic place, The house, furnished in French style, leaves nothing to be desired. The Mediterranean framework is made up of olive trees that cover the entire property and provide shade. The pool was perfect for romping our kids and for us to swim and relax. We were warmly welcomed by the owners, who gave us many valuable tips for Nice and the surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed our third stay at Maison Fleurie - just too short - we love the peace and quiet, the view, the space and the pool and the family is as delightful as ever. They also know us, so could leave the bleeper in the mailbox to unshut the front gates to the property when we arrived. It works well for both parties. If there are new clients, maybe a welcome pack would be a good idea? We do a basic shop in Forcalquier before we arrive so that we can have a light supper and breakfast on arrival. Then off the next day to either Carrefour or Leclerc for major food shop - so much easier with the car. It is really too dangerous to walk down the road to the boulangerie, etc. as there is no pavement on parts of the road. We don`t use the second bedroom and bathroom, but the main bathroom still has the strange smell - maybe because it is situated in the original part of the cottage and probably with no window unshut for some time? Hi Paul, we had a great time at Maison owners had made the second bedroom look much more attractive and had redecorated the main bathroom. We also went out to dinner with them one evening, with some other members of their family which was great fun.......Another family member owned the restaurant. The owners and their children are absolutely charming and we loved our stay at Maison Fleurie. As a couple, we very much enjoyed the accommodation, but might have been slightly disappointed if we needed to use the second bedroom which we felt lacked character and was not the same standard as the rest of the property. Also, there was a strange odour in the main bathroom, but maybe because it had not been used or aired for some time. It would also be useful if the owners provided instructions for the cooker, TV, etc. It was OK for us, as we have stayed in differing accommodation in France and "know the ropes". Also an up-to-date bus timetable and information on local food shops, etc. These are meant as positive comments to avoid problems with other future clients. No mention was made of the Supplementary services as outlined on the accommodation details. We also had initial problems with the internet connection, but the owners attended to this. We also moved the router into the living area from the hall cupboard with also improved the connection. We would like to return in the future, dependent on political and economic conditions at the time, and the price! (How satisfied were you with the property ?)
