As the local St.Lucians would say themselves- Irie!Maximum Chillout! My husband and I came to SunWest Villas for a week- We stayed in Bonne Vue. My body was in Bonne Vue, my spirit went straight to paradise. I was transported into the old Bounty and Lilt advertisements- A taste of paradise, totally tropical- Yeah Man! Words cannot express the uniqueness of our experience. I am still floating finding it hard to readjust to reality as I have definately left a piece of my heart in St.Lucia, which means I will have to return one day to pick it up- Damn ; )
I was greeted by Gregarious Greg on my arrival with a beautiful bunch of local flowers- Nice! We instantly felt like part of the family! The message was clear- this was not a rental accommodation for the week, this was our home! Greg's villas are nestled neatly into the hillside overlooking Rodney Bay, managing to merge the stunningly serene surroundings of St.Lucia with modern, intelligent, ambitious architecture.
Bonne Vue exceeded all our expectations- We had our home comforts ( all mod-cons ) and more ( Veranda with a view,Wi-fi, pretty much private pool- Greg even gave us a mobile-topped up!- for the week ,enabling us to access any local service we so desired.)
Bonne Vue was immaculately well kept and we enjoyed conversations with Martha, the house maid who made sure we had everything we needed.
As for customer service, I think every hotel/ villa should come with a Greg, not to mention his wonderful wife, Jovial Janet, whom we were very fortunate to meet! Above & beyond the call of duty, they welcomed us like part of their pack, made us laugh, told us stories, transported us here, there and everywhere, soothed our sunburn with real Aloe, recommended the best bits of the island, need I go on!!!
I would highly recommend this property to friends, family & anyone who would listen to or read the mad ravings of a Celtic woman who never thought she could love an island as much as her own- Ireland!
Within a week, we managed to squeeze in a lot! We ate dinner at many of the local restaurants,Chart House being a particular favourite! We swam in the Caribbean sea, lazed by the pool, toured the island with Stormin Norman, wriggled our way through the rainforest on a zip-wire, explored the coast with a local called " Renegade" and sailed on the Brig Unicorn aka the Henrietta in the trilogy "Pirates of the Carribean" where the crew showed me pictures of Johnny Depp- Maximum Chillout- Say it with me- Iiirie:)
