Hi, I'm married and we've got a lovely 13 year old daughter called Mia and a very cute border terrier called Tilly. We love to travel around the UK and the world, showing Mia all the wonderful places we visited before she was born.

We both run our own businesses (communications and plumbing) so we've got a great work life balance. This means we get to spend lots of time at our cottage in West Dorset enjoying the local beaches with Mia and the dog. Thailand is our all time favorite overseas destination, we've yet to take Mia!

We are all fully house trained and we treat other peoples homes with as much care and pride as we do our own.

Built in 1852, our cottage is perfectly situated to explore the stunning Jurassic coastline of West Dorset. In less than 20 minutes, you can also visit the beautiful beaches featured in ITV drama Broadchurch.

Just a stones throw away from the heart of Beaminster, Martock Cottage is a two bedroom holiday home which accommodates four guests and one small furry friend if you have one.

The semi-detached former workers cottage has been beautifully restored and refurnished in 2018 and now offers, granite worktops, USB charging points, a dishwasher and a laundry room complete with tumble dryer.

Martock has a small but beautifully formed courtyard garden which offers fabulous countryside views.

Dating back to the 19th century, our cottage is perfectly situated to explore the stunning Jurassic coastline of West Dorset. In less than 20 minutes, you can also visit the beautiful beaches featured in ITV drama series Broadchurch.

With a cosy lounge and a toasty log burner, Martock will give you a warm feeling whatever the weather. We also supply a selection of toys for the little people as well as DVDs and games for the whole family to play. So go on, turn off the tech and really enjoy the ones you love.

Alfresco delights

The cottage has a small but beautifully formed courtyard garden where you can enjoy fabulous countryside views from the comfort of our up-cycled ‘bath bench’.

In a natural valley in West Dorset, Beaminster is a small town with all the charm of a village so I’d call it tillage.

With several pubs, eateries, boutique shops, coffee shops, a butchers, a bakers and a green grocers you've got everything you need within a five minute walk of the cottage.

Situated among four of Dorsets highest peaks the surrounding countryside provides the most amazing views in the country. If you like the great outdoors, there are many amazing walks right on your doorstep.

If you want to take in the beautiful scenery without the walk, you can book a day to explore with Beaminsters Donkey Walking Adventures or UK Llamas. This provides chance to explore and includes a few refreshment stops and keep the kids entertained at the same time.

Local shops

There is a convenience store just 60 seconds from the cottage. If you walk to Beaminster Square, which is around five minutes away, you will find everything you need. The closest supermarket is Morrisons in Bridport which is about a 15 minutes drive.
