We stayed here with our 2 kids (1 and 3yrs) and it was great

We stayed here with our 2 kids (1 and 3yrs) and it was great. There's a babybed, high chair and the pool has a fence around is. The property is big, it was nice to just hang around the house on warm days. It's situated in the countryside, It's about 10min to the nearest town/supermarket and 25min to Malaga centre, this was no problem with our rental car. Cons: Washing machine and dishwasher worked but are old and worn down.

Me and ny family enjoyed our stay in villa San José very much. The house is very big and has everything we needed. We especially liked the big pool, the many different places to sit, eat and relax around the house, the view, the moscito nets on doors and windows. The location is good to reach all nearby places. There is nothing to complain about. Nada

lovely house with lovely views

The house was very clean but some of the kitchen utensils could have been better, there was black mold in the orange juicer.The beds were comfy and the rooms bright and airy.Plenty of outside space and the pool area was very clean.Coming off the main road to the dirt road there were a few potholes which were passable with care. The access was up quite a sharp right turn and quite a steep road, thankfully this was concrete so wasn't too bad. The holiday wasn't as peaceful as we'd hoped as the house next door had quite a few noisy dogs and there was a builders yard behind the fence.

Fabulous stay at Sam Jose Villa.

What a wonderful villa in the mountains at Alhaurin El Grande. The villa was very spacious and in beautiful surroundings. We couldn’t have asked for more. Toñi and her father who own the villa couldn’t have made us more welcome. What a beautiful family. We will definetly be back to this amazing place. Picking oranges every morning from the garden for breakfast was great. The villa had absolutely everything you would need and more.

Well laid out property with everything you could need.

Size of accommodation, service from Toni and her dad. Candles to help keep flies away. Wardrobes had string instead of handles, bedding was actually curtains. If a little was spent on improving these things the villa would have been 5 stars.

Beautiful villa in a peaceful area

Beautiful villa in a peaceful area. Panoramic views of the mountains and valley. Excellent , very well kept swimming pool. Lovely outdoor bbq/dining area with plenty of seating. There is a path leading from the house for 4km loop runs which take in the vistas.Toni was very kind and offered us a later check out time since there were no guests arriving that day.Would love to stay again!

Beautiful villa. Had a lovely week long stay there. Owner Toñi is really friendly and helpful. Location a bit isolated and local taxi drivers don't always know where it is. Maybe a note with some directions to show them would be helpful.

Great stay overall. Good size rooms and kitchen well supplied. Nice pool and nice to have different seating areas outside.We did find the pool furniture very tired and uncomfortable. The childrens play area was also very shabby and apart from a few toys for the little paddling pool there were no other toys in the villa. Which did show in the bedroom on the photos for the villa and also advertising for a family villa? We did request high chair and cot which were both great.The other thing we found strange was that if you were in the villa you could not shut the doors, if anybody was outside they could not get in? Definately need a fly screen door on the kitchen door.No shower and screen on bath in the en suite and shower broken off the wall in the main bathroom.Even though the owners were spanish (and speak no English) we communicated and they were lovely.

Overall a nice stay

The property was clean and well equipped. The pool was nice (but oddly, did turn any white on our swimming costumes yellow) and great that it was gated. The air conditioning worked really well, and the additional beds in both double room were super practical. Also, the travel cot was a large/long one, so great for the two year old. Two fridges and freezers were a great help. However, the property could really use a little love; the swinging seat is rusted/detached on one side, so it could collapse at any time . The hairdryer is unusable. One shower doesn't have a screen; the other has to be held by hand as the wall fixing is broken. Neither bathroom door locks. The pool furniture is all very shabby. Also we were met by people who only spoke Spanish (we're English - and never said we could speak Spanish). There was no welcome book, which is very odd, and we had to chase for information on what to do with rubbish. A few things that cannot be helped, but did affect our stay: the local dogs bark a lot, including the neighbour's dog. No fault of the owners, but it did disturb our evenings quite a lot. They didn't keep us awake at all though. You can't turn left onto the main road, or turn left into the villa's side road. If the police catch you, they will fine you. (Basically, imagine there is a barrier in the middle of the main road, which you cannot cross). This means a pretty huge detour every time you leave the house by car - or risking a fine. Google knows about this and gives accurate legal directions, but it was really annoying - especially in our huge people carrier! There is clearly a wasp's nest nearby as we couldn't eat outside at all for wasps. We must have killed over 200 during our stay, and it was totally impossible to have food outside at all. I would recommend the owners try to find this and deal with it. So honestly, a mixed bag - but I think this is always going to be the way.

Het waren 2 topweken!! Zeker een aanrader!

Geweldige 2 weken gehad in dit prachtige en schoon huis! De host Toni staat altijd voor je klaar samen met haar vader Pedro. De foto's en beschrijving op de site waren ook echt wat je kreeg! Alles was schoon & netjes. Alles aanwezig wat je nodig heb om 2 weken lekker bij het huis te kunnen hangen. Het zwembad wordt netjes schoongemaakt 1 keer in de week. Het waren 2 topweken!! Zeker een aanrader!

Estupenda casa, nueva, muy limpia y completa, no nos faltó un detalle en nuestra estancia. Muy recomendable para ir con niños pequeños porque la piscina está vallada y hay columpios y otras cosas para ellos. Los dueños son encantadores. Nos gustaría mucho repetir. Maravillosa.
