We stayed in The Salt Loft in early February. It is a really great place to stay, very nicely and comfortably furnished, warm ( gas central heating ), well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable bed, lovely large shower. Huge ( 52 inch ) TV, CD player and radio.
Only two of us, but a good sized second bedroom ( single beds ) and enough space generally to fit four if needed.
The location is brilliant, above a beauty salon / ice cream place, only a few feet from the river / harbour. Fairly quiet location ( in February at least ) yet no distance to Looe centre and the shops / pubs / restaurants. Only around 200 m from the Banjo pier and Looe beach.
Great views of the fishing boats and across the water to West Looe, looked particularly good when all lit up at night.
Looe is lovely, big enough to have a good selection of facilities, but not too big.
The only downside is parking ( but I guess this applies to most places this central in Looe ). Looe was not laid out with cars in mind!!!
You can pull up briefly right outside The Sail Loft for loading / unloading but the nearest long term car park is just across the bridge in West Looe, about half a mile walk I think ( a reasonable £2.30 for 24 hours )
Great cliff walks to Polperro and Seaton. ( and a fairly regular bus back from Polperro if needed )
We had a great week, weather was good for early Feb, even the one wet and windy day was OK, warm and dry inside, reading and watching the boats and seagulls.
