If you want peace and quiet with great views this is it.
Access to the property is quite tricky and not for the faint hearted but it is in a stunning location . A car is essential.
The property was charming and well equipped . It has amazing views .
The description Mari - monti is true but it involves quite a trek down the mountain . It took us about 40 mins each way to access the coast .
It is set in a beautiful part of Sicily and you get a real feel for life in this part of the island .
The owner was very helpful and answered questions promptly . He arranged for someone to meet us in the village when we arrived and show us the house. He suggested different routes and visits which was useful.
On the home and away site it says the property has air conditioning but this is not the case. The windows do open and have insect screens which did help in the heat .
If you want to get away from it all this is the place for you . We needed a base to explore the area which we did but a lot of time was spent in the car . This is Our own fault for not checking out the location more carefully on the map before booking .
The description that it is a ‘love nest ‘ is true if that is what you are looking for .
Overall we had a memorable experience in a beautiful location.
