Kona Hideaway

We loved this home! Plenty of room for our family, amazing outdoor space, very well-equipped, huge living areas indoors, and well-located. It's a quick trip into Kona and also easy to head to wherever you might be going. We will definitely rent this property again!

Perfect Family Vacation House!

Fantastic vacation property! Staying here will always be a part of our family’s vacation memories. The views from any direction are stunning - the ocean, the gardens, the trees, the sunsets. The house is even more spacious than it appears in the listing and has many comfortable niches for quiet times, enjoying the views. It came well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The pool is not large but perfect for children to play in for hours and adults to soak in. Lots of thick beach towels provided and pool toys.

Perfect extended family trip.

We loved our stay. Perfect layout for our extended family trip. House had everything we could need. Beautiful views. Kids and adults enjoyed the pool and outdoor dining/seating area. Great location. Property management was so friendly and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!

Great house and view!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful and the view is great, especially at sunset. We have stayed at many vacation homes over the years and I think I can safely say that this one is the one that is the most well stocked by the owners and management for the guests. We tend to cook for our family when we are on vacation rather than going out to eat. There were multiple spices and oils for cooking. The pots and pans were of high-quality. The knives were also of high-quality, but as always could use a little sharpening. More importantly, there is snorkel gear, high-quality beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards that were all used by us and greatly enhanced the quality of our stay. Definitely be aware that there is no air conditioning. We stayed in June and had two high humidity nights that made it a little sticky. There’s lots of ceiling fans and whole house ventilation, but I definitely heard complaints from my sleepers, who prefer the deep freeze and pitch black!!

Paradise ruined

This is a wonderful home with magical views and under normal circumstances would highly recommend. However, a new home is being built next door and the noise was horrendous. A bulldozer grading the driveway and jackhammers removing large stones from the property. This was not mentioned in the booking process. Be warned.

Breathtaking

The property was amazing and the views were absolutely breathtaking! The kitchen was well stocked and there were even games for the kids inside the coffee table. The owner thought of and supplied everything. We could have spent our entire vacation just relaxing by the pool!

Rated “A” for family

Our 8 night stay was everything we hoped for and more. This house is A+. Well equipped with everything you could want or need for your stay. We even found wide brimmed straw hats to shade our happy faces. There is much to see and do on the Big Island, but do yourself a favor and schedule some time “at home” and just enjoy the good life. Food is expensive, but the kitchen is well equipped and very user friendly. Our only disappointment was that the one bedroom is quite a bit smaller than it appears in the online pictures. It got dubbed “the shoe box” by our 17 year old twin granddaughters and became a happy place for them. Thanks again for the memories!

Family Vacation

Beautiful property. It was a great location for our various day trips. Had an issue with a screen door that was quickly fixed! Very responsive management. The property next door that was an empty lot is now an active construction site. But wasn’t a big issue for us, in fact the kids enjoyed watching the activity. Lots of beach supplies for food storage, snorkeling, water shoes in various sizes, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, and both pool and sand toys!

Views for vacation

This property exceeded our expectations and was just beautiful. Very spacious with big bedrooms , well equipped kitchen and location was perfect for being involved with the Ironman event. The highlight for all of us was the out door covered area with tons of seating and the panoramic view of the ocean… I could have stayed forever! Pool is small but perfect for small kids to swim in and adults to cool off.

This property has everything that you want and more. The beds are all comfortable, and the outdoor living room is amazing. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, plates, etc… even a panini press!! The garage is loaded with fun gear for your island adventures. STAY HERE! You won’t regret it!!!

Lovely holiday

House was beautiful. Views absolutely wonderful. Location great. We splurged for this family trip with 6 adults and five children. Layout was perfect. Would get a five star but 1. There us no AC. Knew this when we booked but they”sold” their air cooling system. Yes there were trade winds and every room had several fans but it was not enough. The main room stayed fairly “cool” at night and the main master was fine (we had that room) but the two bedrooms at each wing of the house sweltered. We opened the house strategically and had fans and the cooling system on constantly. Hard to sleep at night for the little ones. At this price point house should be air conditioned. 2. Outdoor area fabulous. Lived there! Pool was very small but perfect for our little ones. If you have children over eight the pool would not work. Finally while the house was clean it does need a deep cleaning. Fans had layers of goopy dust and the appliances were grungy. But these are minor. Thanks for ten daysin paradise

Exceeded All Expectations

This is the first time our VRBO property exceeded all expectations. We had 9 in our family from 11 to 81. The house and layout provided plenty of private space for everyone. Other than sleeping, we spent every minute in the outdoor spaces and pool. Between the views, the pools and the amenities, it was hard to leave to do anything else on the island. We only ate one meal out, the kitchen is nicely equipped and didn't leave us needing anything. The location is perfect. Just a short drive to everything from stores to beaches to downtown. Our experience with the property management also exceeded our expectations and truly made our vacation the best ever.

Loved the view and sunsets. The house was spacious and was a good fit for our family. All enjoyed the pool. The location was a good fit for proximity to shopping and beaches - felt very neighborly.

Beautiful property

This was one of our favorite properties we ever rented. It truly felt like a home away from home but with added luxuries. We were a total of 9 in our group and everyone had space. The kitchen was perfect with all you need to make your meals. Everyone loved the outdoor shower perfect for rinsing off after the beach or pool. We had most of our meals outside because it was so inviting with the comforts and the view was breathtaking!!! We would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous property and location

We stayed here 8 nights , 4 adults 3 children. We traveled all over the island, Hilo, Volcanoes, west coast beaches, snorkeling with Manta Ray's and turtles. Always great to come back to this place and the the pool and Sunsets- Green Flash included. Thanks.

This house is spacious, beautiful, and fully equipped with everything our large family could want for a wonderful vacation. The property manager was very helpful, even purchasing a cargo ramp so that my husband who is wheelchair bound could get in and out of the house.
