We had an excellent stay at this location. Maureen was such a wonderful host. Communication was easy and timely. She directed us to the nearest carpark and we were able to walk over to meet her for check-in without any problem. The apartment itself had many incredibly thoughtful amenities that made it feel cozy and homey. The location was great -- we were able to walk to so many places in the city or hop on a train. We would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

Amazing location to walk to the Royal Mile (15-20 minutes) and explore the Castle and the old town. Great view of the Castle. Located on a busy road but noise did not keep us up at night. Bakeries/cafes/restaurants/groceries within a block or two. Maureen met us at the apartment and was very helpful with any questions we had. Comfortable bed & bathroom. We enjoyed bringing takeout back for dinner. We would stay here again.

The Scottish apartment is just as lovely as the photos in the VRBO listing. The apartment’s high ceilings and large windows flood the space with natural light and provide a lovely view of Edinburgh Castle. The apartment has been thoughtfully (and thoroughly) renovated and is spotlessly clean. The comfort of the apartment was very important to me, because I took ill while in Edinburgh, and it was my little oasis! The neighborhood provided everything we needed. My husband could easily go to the pharmacy for me, and bring home lovely take out dinners. Maureen, the owner, met us upon our arrival, which is a wonderful welcoming touch. I hope to return to Edinburgh some day, and I know where I will stay! Thank you, Maureen!

This place is a gem!! So close to down town. Maureen was very accommodating, she met us outside, helped with our bags and showed us around the apartment. The room was clean and beautiful. I would highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful, convenient flat and an excellent host.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10-day stay in this clean, comfortable, safe, beautifully decorated flat on the bustling Lothian Road. We walked to all the Edinburgh City tourist sights from this excellent location. The flat was well equipped with everything to make you feel at home. Fresh coffee, fruit, flowers, milk and cookies along with a well-stocked kitchen for home cooking. A Sainsbury Local and nearby Boots are handy for daily needs. Don’t want to cook? Spoiled for choice with a Greggs Pastry shop for breakfast, The Bento Box, and a variety of other restaurants right out the front door. We cannot say enough good things about our host, Maureen. Helpful beyond expectations, quickly responded to anything we asked, offered great suggestions for things off the beaten path. We consider her a new friend in Edinburgh—that is a first for our many years of renting with VRBO. The apartment interior is exactly as depicted and described. The building elevator and outer hallway carpeting could stand replacement. But Maureen’s flat is posh and perfectly maintained. We highly recommend this apartment and look forward to returning in the future.

A wonderful gem that’s close to everything!

Maureen is a wonderful host. She was prompt in her communication and extremely helpful. The flat is lovely, clean, well appointed. The bed is comfortable and the view is stunning! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is looking to be close to everything in Edinburgh!

This apartment was fantastic and then some. I kept finding little extras. Fresh fruit. Bluetooth speakers in the bathroom and kitchen. Plenty of Tea and Coffee. And even a wee drop of Whiskey to warm your insides. Easy 15 minute walk to the start of the Edinburgh marathon.

Best Place in Edinburgh

The unit is amazing and so is the host. The view of the castle is spectacular and the location puts you in walking distance to everything. It is extremely well equipped with appliances, amenities, and extras, showing the host wants her guests to enjoy their stay. She is very communicative and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome.

Great Apartment

We enjoyed the apartment during our stay in Edinburgh. It was within walking distance of the major landmarks and easy access to restaurants and supermarket. The laundry room was easily accessible and provided us an opportunity to do laundry without leaving the building.

Perfect Location

We enjoyed our stay at this clean and cozy flat. With beautiful views, restaurants and stores within walking distance, and the castle only a short walk, this was the perfect spot for us. Maureen gave us a warm welcome with fresh fruit and flowers. We hope to return soon.

Edinburgh getaway

We couldn’t have had a better time! Maureen was kind and helpful. The apartment was impeccably clean and so centrally located that it was so easy to either walk or take a bus to anywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely book this again. Be mindful that it is in the heart of the city and there is street noise which is to be expected, even at night. However the excellent location and beautiful accommodation make it all worth while. Pack the ear plugs and have a great time!

Great Location for Edinburgh and Fringe

Apartment was perfect for 2 people visiting Edinburgh for first time. Location was convenient for easy walk to sight seeing areas and Fringe activities. Really appreciated Maureen accommodating our very late check in. Staying in this apartment provided a perfect ending to our 2+ week vacation in Ireland and Scotland.

Great Apartment and Great Location

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in July 2024. Spacious for two. Maureen was a very gracious and accommodating host. This is a fantastic location for short walks to the Royal Mile and New Town. Great view of Edinburgh Castle! Walk to the Tram and Train. Great food and pubs nearby.
