Though only a week at the site we found it very convenient to visit local areas, North, South East and West. (Oban, Campbelltown, Inverary and Crinan) All worth a visit and have there own attractions. The scenery in Argyll is amazing.
The planning of each day was made easy by the information available at Melfort and the excellent introductory talk, which provided plenty of insights and local knowledge of the whole area.
The accommodation was very comfortable, clean and well appointed.
There are plenty of good places to eat, that will accept two dogs.
We would especially recommend The Crinan Hotel for a Fish Stew and the 'Shower of Herring' for a good meal, provided by 'Mine Host' Kat, who was a joy to meet
If you are so inclined there are also plenty of activities available at the site and around.
