My family of five adored our week staying at Marina Vecchia. The beautiful home had everything we needed, from water access at the basement level (the kids loved being able to swim right from there) to lovely terraces at the main and second floors to the best roof deck in all of Saint Florent given the 360 degree views of the sea, harbor, village, and surrounding mountains. Having a well-appointed bathroom on each of the levels was extremely convenient, as was the rooftop grill and sink. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable; with the sound of the sea outside the window, we slept well.
As the owner clearly states, the steep stairs between a few of the floors make this property a good fit only for those who are able bodied. The only other point worth making is that the location -- which we loved given the proximity to restaurants, shops, and the boats -- means that there is foot traffic nearby of those checking out the sea as well as live music in the evenings. We were lucky enough to catch a live concert from the Citadel across the cove.
Overall, we adored this unique home and the village of Saint Florent. It felt off the beaten path (very little English spoken) and made for a wonderful Mediterranean vacation.
