We had a fantastic time at Stable End Cottage. Janet was very hospitable, the cottage is very well equipped with everything you need, the beds were comfy and the cottage has a comfy quirky feel with a lot of character. Quiet location close to all the village centre with some lovely shops. My son enjoyed the play room with the snooker table. High recommended.

very nice and dog friendly ,i would say book this one as downstairs living where as other one it is upside down and stable more suitable for dogs as you would have to go downstairs to let them out.Considering it is a conversion it is that well done that you would think it had always been like that. Very convenient for touring Suffolk coast . On our to visit again list. Owners very friendly and helpful

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Stable End in Halesworth. The weather was extremely hot and the cottage was a wonderful refuge from the heat whilst enjoying a lovely breeze through the French doors. The cottage is very well equipped and everything was in good working order. The beds were exceedingly comfortable to ensure a good night’s rest after a long day. Southwold was around a 15-20 minute drive away and beautifu and also has the Adnams brewery and shop to visit. Halesworth itself has plenty of wonderful coffee shops (The Black Dog and their wonderful cakes) and restaurants. Janet and Brian were very welcoming abd provided us with a wonderful welcome including fresh strawberries and cream, milk and a lovely bottle of red wine. They were around if you needed them but never intrusive. We loved the cottage- truly a home from home.

We had a great week at Stable End. The owners were very helpful and very keen to be fully Covid compliant. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable and all the appliances were top notch. The village of Halesworth had a good range of shops, restaurants and a lovely park for young children. Whilst not as close as we’d thought to the coast it’s close enough for easy access. A superb location, not only for visiting interesting places but also at least 3 pubs within easy walking distance. Everything was as described (not as daft as it sounds as we have had some issues in the past!), and more besides. Janet and Brian are excellent hosts and the welcome pack including not only tea, coffee and milk but also homemade cakes and a bottle of wine, was a real treat.

Spent a very enjoyable week at Stable End. The cottage was lovely - clean and well equipped. Felt quite spacious for a cottage with a lovely small garden. The cottage is on a main road, although heard surprisingly little noise from traffic. Games room a great extra - enjoyed a few games of snooker during the week. Very warm welcome from owners.

The cottage is perfect.

The cottage is perfect. It's close to town and easy to drive/cycle/walk to lots of places from, but so quiet you would think it was a really rural location. Beautifully done - great space, well-equipped, fascinating internal architecture/decor. Secure courtyard garden for dogs and easy dog walking nearby. Lovely hosts. Blissful bed. I managed not to steal the tea-cosy, but I can't say I wasn't tempted.

Good holiday base from which to explore.

Good holiday base from which to explore. Very helpful and friendly owners who are available when needed but allow privacy. Good for dog owners. Useful information pack. Well equipped kitchen. Was worried about being on a “main road”, but it isn’t a main road by the rest of the country’s standards, minimal traffic.
