A unique house in a lovely secluded setting, incredibly spacious. Central heating keeps it very warm, surprisingly so for an old stone house with single glazing.
Probably unrivaled as a red squirrel watching hide - there are two feeders outside the front of the house and as long as you keep them well stocked, the squirrels keep coming (at least in November, when we stayed) we found hazelnuts to be best as the squirrels take time to get a good grip on them and consequently stay longer.
We have a few minor niggles - the mattress on the main bed is well past its best, and my wife had a quick lie down on top of the others and reports them equally uncomfortable. The lock on the bathroom door is defective. Sound quality on the TV set not very good, and no subtitles.
Potential guests should be aware that there is no WIFI - not a problem for us, and mobile signal (O2 in our case) is ok.
